No, I include Corbyn when Boris is put in a elite category. And Gareth Bale. And the Beckhams etc....
I'm sorry, there was me thinking that the term 'elite' was reserved as a pejorative for Labour-supporting Remainers. Bale and Beckham are new money, though. Very non-U.
You may be right but it's way too early to say. It's easy to look good when you give billions away and can be seen to be doing your bit to save jobs rather than keep banging on about a legendary magic money tree. However we'll see how he fares when the time comes to replenishing the coffers. Until the Tories can get over their impotence when it comes to raising income tax something that is inevitable at some point soon, I won't be jumping on that bandwagon
Yes, fair comment. I was impressed with him before he became Chancellor of the Exchequer so I'm hopeful he'll step up when necessary.
Tory donors now coming forward saying they’ve been asked to pay for a nanny and personal trainer for the Johnson’s
Don’t you dare suggest he might not act in the best interests of people on the breadline you sneering metropolitan elite liberal you.
It's been surprising to see how many of these stories have been led by the Mail. Wait a minute, doesn't Gove's wife write for the Mail?
I wouldn't have any problem at all if Boris were forced out of office. I've never been a fan (brexit aside). The problem for me is that there is no viable opposition at the moment, which explains why Boris just gets away with everything. I'm not convinced another Tory from this current bunch would be much better, but an upgrade wouldn't be that hard. Another problem is that if he's forced out and gets replaced by someone who doesn't get the same support from the public, we could end up with a hung parliament at the next election. I'm not a fan of those.
Google "Shadow Cabinet" and one of your first hits will be to the Labour Party where you can see mug shots and cast list. It was fascinating to see. I hardly recognised more than 1/3 of them or recognised the names of half of them.
