Dembele is good but not their best. Their central midfielder Taylor is most important from a creative standpoint, everything goes through him. Szmodics then feeds Clark Harris. I'd say Dembele isn't even in the most important 3 players. They're also planning for life without him as he's likely to leave on a free in the summer. He's quick and has a trick but inconsistant. Be interesting to see where he goes and who they replace him with. Their model of recruitment is obviously influencing way we want to go in future.
And I certainly don't fit yours. The king has no clothes in my opinion, but no harm done yet. I don't care for his team selections but I do like his presentation, perhaps, his wardrobe could do with an update.
That’s why I said apparently mate. I don’t think he’s their best or most important either! A certain poster on here argued that fact with me when we played posh
Fair enough. Regarding Flannagan keeping him quiet i'd say that every now and then even a blind squirrel finds a nut! If we're relying on him we're in serious trouble.
That's not massively convincing after you've called him a charlatan and rubbished the use of data analysis, you know! I don't necessarily agree with all of his team selections either and I don't like this 4222 formation. But I don't have his coaching credentials and I'm not working with the players on a daily basis, so I can accept that he's in a better position to judge such things. I don't think he'll be here in 5 years time but at this moment in time, I can see that he is the right fit for the system that KLD wants to implement. I think that system is the right thing to do so Johnson is the right coach for now. But you asked why I thought people don't like him. What other reason can there be not to like a coach who has won us our first cup for nearly 50 years and secured as a play off place other than personal feeling?
Several other parish councils are dead against house building but I believe Beadnell is designated a holiday build destination. I spent a couple of summers helping the guy at the car park taking the boats down to the water. Needless to say the tractor did get rusty!
Looking at the highlights, when the ball is passed to Ross he is just about on the halfway line. Just in their half. This is clear from the behind the goal camera. You can’t see the defender to his left, but it seems likely that he was playing Ross onside. Great run and great goal.
I think we’ll definitely try 3 at the back next week to see if it works with Wright, onion, Mcglochlin/flanagan. if it doesn’t then decision for the playoffs is easier.
Its only mags who think winning a cup at Wembley is meaningless...cos they within living memory have won nowt..
