Some totally useless stats for yous. All 72 EFL teams after 45 games. Most wins (City = 27) = 2nd after Norwich. Least draws (City = 8) = joint 4th Least loses (City = 10) = 5th after Norwich, Watford, Brentford, Sunderland. Most goals scored (City = 80) = 1st Least goals conceded (City = 37) = joint 4th Most points (City = 89) = 2nd after Norwich.
That Norwich lot have done well. A stat I saw the other day. 14 of the teams in Division 3 at the end of the first Premier League season have since played in the Premier League. Both teams at the KCOM amongst them.
Out of the current top 6, I think I’d like to see Blackpool go up in the play offs, outside of that, Charlton or Oxford would be nice to see, the rest, can’t say I’m too bothered really. I always think, the team that finished 3rd normally deserves it, but this year, we’ve seen so many of them not take their chance. Don’t know if Blackpool have the momentum to carry on, or if someone will sneak in at the end. There is a part of me that thinks Sun’lan will come good in the PO’s & get a lucky break.
Unless things change looks like the 2 form teams will be playing each other in the semis .. shame cos Lincoln or Blackpool would be my preference to go up
I don’t know, Blackpool & Lincoln still have a game in hand, so I’d assume both would get more than Sun’lan, so they’d play in the semi’s, then with 6th,(Portsmouth, Charlton or outsiders Oxford) & 3rd, (Blackpool or Lincoln) in the other semi.
who was the idiot blasting music out on the tannoy at the end of the game drowning out the players attempts to have a sing song?
Not been on here for ages but been watching all the games. God how I would have loved being at the KC this season. So refreshing to see goals and wins, the atmosphere these last few games would have been brilliant. Looking forward to being back again but just hope it isn't as dismal as the last time I was there. This team seem very confident and very together, really hope our owners don't look to sell their "assets" Saw a comment by KLP's brother on one of the facebook sites, he reckons he isn't after chasing the money, his loyalty is with City. Of course as he matures and gets better and better he will no doubt move on and will do with the blessing of most fans because it is inevitable and will be good to see him blossom but lets hang on to him for at least one season.
It's tighter than a crabs bottom for the top 6 playoffs. I'd like to see the gimps make it. Nice away day. What price Portsmouth to finish 6th and win it?
Can't stand Lincoln but would prefer them to go up for financial reasons. They'd be operating on a smaller budget than the others in the play offs, giving City a better chance of finishing above them.
can anyone help please. last week v lincoln someone posted a video to all our goals this season. ive tried to find it but cant. has anyone got a link to it plz?
In the spirit of equality and not sounding like a Billy Big Bollocks I didn't want to put that. But I know what you mean.
At the start of the season I was confident we would go up. When we went on that bad spell I wanted Terry sacked. I'm glad I never got my way. Well done City and Grant McCann. 3 points on Sunday to take us to a 2 point a game average.
Good bit from an hdm article Throughout the last 45 league games (well 35 if you discount the league defeats), the Tigers have lifted a city, they’ve made a nation of supporters feel better about themselves, given them something to look forward to, to cheer and sing about albeit from the sofa. They've made you fall in love again. Don’t underestimate the enjoyment this season has given to those supporters struggling to deal with the very real effects of coronavirus, and if I may be as bold as to say what an absolute privilege it has been to watch this team play some wonderful football, score some terrific goals and create memories that will live with us for a lifetime. They've done you proud.
