But until the "idiot" acts like an idiot you don't know that he is. The responsibility for his actions is his alone and presumably he will stay away from football now.

One police officer is in hospital tonight with a significant slash to his face.

    Neville will be sacked imo.

For me the little football bubble needs to be forgotten here.

In the grand scheme I agree a statement to club owners is more important than a football game, that said if this were anything else if a mass crowd assembled without proper policing then a cohort invaded a building causing damage while others blocked roads and noisily blocked up hotels as well it would not be well received.

As I said previously all that happened in Bristol since the blm protest chucked a statue in the river was people ending up in court.

They didnt need to go the extra mile to achieve the aims which cannot be linked to violent morons.

Commissions up and down the country have actually listened without the need for violence and have slowly removed slavery statues and naming.

Btw carragher brought up Hillsborough and heysel and he had no place doing so.

Ultimately all this has achieved is denying all the interested football followers who weren't involved today one of the biggest matches in the game. It won't really make a ripple higher up in the game, people like the Glazers and others don't care and they'll continue to do as they wish. If business is affected too much something might change but they know that for every fan protesting today there were a thousand others all over the place who weren't and who will continue to buy into the present system. It's all predicated on the idea that the 'old football' still means something which it just doesn't, the game has changed and it won't be going back

Mito going on about Gray and Keyes and Neville and Carragher getting sacked from Sky.

Meanwhile Skysports News showing the very same Neville and Carragher's comments every half hour since.

Reality bypass for Mito. Me thinks the lady doth protest too much lol

Yeh bcos obviously that's what I just said <doh>

See it's that kind of leap to the ridiculous that shows why you're chatting absolute cobblers about Neville and Carragher as well.

Apparently, Harry Maguire and Bruno Fernandes asked if they should go out and talk to the fans protesting, but the Chief of Manchester police shot down the idea saying, and I quote "Tell them two to stay put, things are ****ing ugly enough out there as it is!"

A lot of fans are supporting both the illegal actions and garry neville. I have no problem with and actually support Protest against bad owners and the ESL.

however; I counted 6 times neville was offered the opportunity to condemn at least the illegal actions and he doubled down each time on the glaziers. I would however also want to say carragher respect raised heysel and hillsborough to talk about fans being blamed. He should be give a good piece of our minds for doing so. At heysel criminal acts cost lives, some went to jail. It is uncondonable to use that to excuse utd fans. At Hillsborough there are ongoing procedures so Carragher even mentioning it is unforgivable.

the headlines today read like this:
‘They’re deadly serious and this is just the start,’ says Keane
Neville says action due to ‘distrust and dislike of the owners’
Sometimes you have to put a marker down for people to take notice': Roy Keane insists 'this is just the start'
Two police officers injured in ugly clashes

I would question sky as I know they had to fill the air time for two hours but they had reporter outside pretty quick and access to the full picture yet neville is pictured fistbumping trespassers and condoning criminal damage and by extension is linked now to two injured police officers, one very serious slash after a bottle was thrown.

The narrative that "there's always one" doesnt hold up

I think people should instead be sad that a lot of young lads were led off by a cohort of militant fans here. Lads hugging and kicking balls about the pitch is one thing but we saw 6 (not one) invade the tunnels and seek to get to dressing rooms to find god knows what etc.

We saw one guy trashing a camera position, we dont yet know what else was trashed
We saw several using flares including one thrown at the sky platform
We heard that full beer cans were thrown up there too.
So now we are up to 10-15 serious people out of the 100-200 crowd of young lads who were used as cover

Outside the ground we see barriers and objects thrown at police and a knife being used? We see public streets blocked an non football people being affected
    We see hotels being attacked

Sorry sky have painted themselves into a corner here. You cannot make this stuff "about the glaziers" and the "glaziers started ths"

My view is protest, do so properly. You don't get to decide when and where players train and play. you don't get to disrupt people's lives or destroy property.
Protest is only one tool, it is obviously the tool of the loud and powerless as the only way to get at the glaziers is to target their cash flow.

I think people forget that we've now seen trespass at 3 separate location, carrington, woodward's house and now old trafford.

the Manchester police statement says it all

Russ Jackson, assistant chief constable of Greater Manchester police, said: “The behaviour displayed today by those at both Old Trafford and the Lowry hotel was reckless and dangerous. We understand the passion many supporters have for their team and we fully respect the right for peaceful protest. Plans were in place to ensure this could happen safely, but it soon became clear that many present had no intention of doing so peacefully. The actions of those today required us to take officers from front line policing and call in support from neighbouring forces to prevent the disorder getting worse.

“At different points, bottles and barriers were thrown, officers assaulted and people scaled the stadium structure creating risk for themselves and officers. We have launched an investigation and we will be working closely alongside partners to ensure we establish the full circumstances surrounding today’s events and prosecute those responsible.”

A lot of silly lads will be prosecuted as they were stupid enough to show their mugs, silly lads who just went along with the ones intend on taking action.

And this is the point Neville and keane have been and are continuing to stoke up the ones taking the illegal actions. Keane and Neville's words are encouragement for open season.

Carragher can go do one as far as i am concerned.
