Everton still bad outside chsnce of CL. Sun all games in hand would have been 3 behind Chelsea. Their home form been atrocious though

Mixed bag of results for us.

Chelsea are just that too far ahead with only 4 to go for them.

Leicester draw was fun but the everton result gives us a bit of Lee way.

A win v utd now would give us a good position for europa, it probably will just keep us close to chelsea and leicester just in case.

West ham draw now on Monday would round it out.

Chelsea’s good form suggests that they will end up 3rd. Leicester’s run in is dreadful and their Newcastle match is a must win. If they draw that they could potentially end up with no further points (64) after that as they face MU , Chelsea and Spurs. West Ham could beat their last 5 opponents but then could also lose to them.

it’s all outside our control re CL but Leicester and West Ham are looking very vulnerable. All is not lost yet. We are already good for the Europa IMO.

That would be best case with leicester. They have the fa cup final also so they should.be up for it. Remember spurs have blown it and should be considered any harder than Newcastle for.them

We are not good for Europa unless we win today. Do that and I think the two below us look as bad as us and we then have the points.

If we manage to scrape top four, which I doubt, will it be seen as some sort of achievement? I've read an article about where it's gone wrong for us. It started with the injuries, yes; patched-up defence, yes; trying to rely on who we already have to score the goals, which has failed, yes; selling Lovren. Hmm, don't get that one as even the article admits he wasn't all that when he was with us; poor choice in signings, partly. This is the article https://www.thenationalnews.com/sport/football/what-s-gone-wrong-with-liverpool-everything-1.1165678 It pretty much sums it up for me. The bit about the crowds, though, OK, if you must, but it's not just been us, and it doesn't explain how we've been able to win away from home, where we've always had a good away following

It's as simple as this, certain players heads are not in the game/club and should go this summer and there a clear formula to beat lfc by sitting deep and lumping it that some clubs fail to apply at their own empty grounds.

Real Madrid ffs applied the formula then sat back and watched us fluff our lines.

Klopp has failed to adapt to this low block game and really he has to shoulder that. I mean all he needed to do was say get in the box and run at someone ffs even but we keep doing the same game and expecting a different result.

I think everyone has clearly and repeatedly heard my view on mane. I encourage people to just watch his off the ball attitude today if he plays.

I see a lot of non pressing filling in of spaces but also being totally switched off and not offering an option to team mates. His head is down but he is seriously hurting us.

Whatever about firmino in ability to be any way consistent with the ball, manes attitude is killing us. Jota and salah please

West Ham winning. Not great for us. This is one of their toughest matches which on paper and form are all winnable.

West brom draw all but relegated them today.

West ham and burnely has been entertaining so the question is will west ham run out of steam again?

West ham stuck it out so now we are looking at 5 wins to even attempt to trouble them.

I think it would be best if we just hope west ham beat everton for us next weekend.

Chelsea should finish top 4 but their fixtures don’t look good. Unlikely but could feasibly not win a game in the league from now

    madrid home 5th
    City away 8th
Arsenal home 12 - should win but lost to them earlier in season
    Leicester cup final 15th
    Leicester away 19th
    Villa away 23rd

Games thick and fast, fighting on 3 fronts. if we win all 5, we only need them to lose 1 and draw 1 and thats 5 points dropped for us to overtake.

now big if, but until it’s over there’s always a chance.

mourinho continues his slow descent to oblivion by taking the roma job for next season.

so not even one of the 15 founders then. Oh dear.

I presume the unliateral sacking he got at spurs paid off in full so he was good to go.

amazing how many will pay that lad.

We have more than a decent chance. But we have to help ourselves first.

Both Chelsea and Leicester are potentially vulnerable to West Ham and us. Potentially being the operative word. Leicester have 3 horrendous last games which they could all lose. The Newcastle game is key for them and if they draw that game they are on 64. And finish on 65 if draw against Chelsea. Chelsea could lose against city and finish on 68.

We are ignoring West Ham who could burst through if they maintain their nerve. Yet they could finish on 70. We beat MU we could finish on 69.

Of course it’s out of our hands but the teams in the CL positions have some really tough matches.

    Fingers crossed.

    You don't say... <doh>

Look, the incey, weenie, teeny chance disappeared down the plug hole with the draws against Leeds and Newcastle. And ffs, there is no way on God's green earth we're going to win 5 games on the bounce with this side. Even the goalie has gone ****e. We'll get 7 more points at most.

Since cheslea second stint he was on his last shot but keeps getting more and more.

in fairness at cheslea he won the title when the free shot was afforded their rich squad, at utd he got a loverly run in the cup (so easy) and won two and at spurs he got a nice easy run as well.

but in the bread and butter and in relationships he has been an UTTER disaster.

His relationship building with players seems to have vanished with the new generation of starts and phone junkies. he falls out with everyone and is always acting kikes he's targeted. It'll be interesting to see how he goes in italy, he might do well with the more clinical approach they have.
