AM is a great talent but only when he fancies it. His attitude and application off the pitch by all accounts was questionable and for the sake of the overall team spirit and dressing room he has been bombed out.

Good luck for the rest of the season after today!

A point away at Sunderland is no disappointment, even if we were 1-0 up. I would have snatched a point if offered before the game so in my books, we are 1 point up on my prediction. This result should give us confidence for the next game. Who is up next? Ipswich! Crap. They just beat us 3-0 last weekend <cry>

Yep, I think we would of all settled for that outcome at 3pm yesterday so not disappointed in the slightest, we.re up and running :emoticon-0169-dance

I’d like to think now that Ipswich won’t beat us by three at our place.

Superb result yesterday, lets me honest, we would all have been over the moon with a point at Sunderland, before the game. Must admit, I did wonder if we were going to somehow steal all 3 points for much of the time, which would have been an amazing feat, considering the pressure they put us under. Was great to see such do or die defending though, a grittiness we haven't had for a while, and bodes well for the attitude and mindset throughout the team. Quite often, resolute defending like that is just as important as a potent strike force, and certainly earned us an unexpected point yesterday. The nice thing is that we see it as a point gained whereas Sunderland will definitely see it as 2 points thrown away. By looking at their forum, they are sadly very deluded about their stature in league 1. It's plain that they believe they are a cut above every other team in this league, are too good and big to be playing in league 1, and absolutely hate being here. Hopefully, a few more results for them like yesterday might give them a reality check - every league is difficult to get out of, as we found out in the Conference, but having an attitude like many of their fans, will make the journey even harder for them. Onwards to the Ipswich game now, difficult to call at present, but another draw wouldn't be a terrible result, although I think we might just nick it for our first league win. :1980_boogie_down:

Once the new players settle in more, we will be just fine. We really need Hanlan or Ayunga to be regular scorers though. Can't keep relying on resolute defending to win our points.

It was definitely a good point and not many will win at Sunderland. Great to see determined and disciplined defending and of course Jaakkola back between the sticks.

Hopefully we’ll see a bit more of Garner’s possession based football as the stats imply that we barely touched the ball against the Mackems!

A lot of complaints from Sunderland over our time wasting.

    That save from Jaakkola :emoticon-0115-inlov

I know it's early in the season but I am beginning to feel that by the time we are admitted into the grounds again we will be in a relegation battle, we desperately need a striker that can score goals. I don't think we will get relegated but I was hoping for a playoff finish cant see that at the moment

Wasn't able to watch the match today because when I tried to sign in it told me my E mail was in use looking at the match thread on Bristol rovers news I don't think I missed a lot

Looking forward to being able to get back into the Mem and cheer the lads on and meet at a distance old friends once again

Tom Nichols got the winner for Crawley today

I don't think we will be in a relegation battle. A striker and playmaker is needed. BG knows this. BG said there is enough in the budget to get 1 but maybe someone has to leave to get the other. Hopefully Bennett will go.

Yesterday was ok. Not great but not bad. It was a tough opposition who also didn't play at their best. We will see a turn around soon. Just a matter of time. Listen to Little's interview. Best interview I have heard for a long time from a player. Players are really happy with BG. Time just needed.

Eight months ago we could all see that we desperately needed a striker or two.

No-one brought in over that time has led to the inevitable happening - relegation to League 2 after scoring the lowest (or 2nd lowest) number of goals over the entire season. With the number of 1-0s losses we suffered, just an extra 10 goals would probably have seen us safe.

As much as I'm disappointed in Barton as manager, I just hope that those responsible for our recruitment last summer and in January are nowhere near the recruitment decisions over the coming months. Everyone apart from them could see the problem.

If we fail to score this weekend, that's 23 league games without a goal. That's exact half of our league games. That is soooooo poor.

I can't see us scoring up there in a month of Sundays - if the Blackpool team don't bother turning up, we still wouldn't score! Too many in the squad that simply aren;t good enough, don't give a toss or both! The sooner this debacle of a season ends, the better, as far as I'm concerned. If it was down to me, there would be a big pile of P45's being posted out on Monday morning.
