    Yeah just the start of this year was horrible personally, my Nan died of pancreatic cancer in January after battling with it for 3 months, then 7 days later had my cat put to sleep at the vets after 18 years then both my mum and stepdad caught covid a few weeks later.

    but Everything is good now apart from listening to all the bollocks going on in the world and watching a **** football team every week lol.

    <hug>

    Been a while hasn't it. You may have missed what a posted a while ago but I have near enough fallen out of love with football to be honest. Not able to watch the games in person but instead watch from a distance on ifollow has not been the same. Watching my club become unrecognisable to the values and standards I believe in, seeing the owners, managers and players don't give a rats ass as just made me question if I can be bothered anymore. It's not that we've been relegated. It's not that we lost games. That's life and that's football. I've felt like this since before the season started and just felt worse as the season went on. I just feel what's the point. Im beginning to like golf more I think. I'm playing it all the time now. Im still here though, paying for my sins but most of the time I feel i'm just sleepwalking. But I think I am here for the other members more than for myself. I rather this place be booming but its not. Even though it's quiet, I still prefer it here than the other gas forums where I think I would like to punch a few people on there!

    I didn’t miss that CJS- I remember reading it when Barton was appointed.
    All I will say is that managers and players come and go but the club and supporters remain.
    There have been times when I’ve been fed up with my club but it will always be MY club and nothing can change that.
    Glad to see you’ve joined in our predictor game on our board - we’ll help you fall back in love with the game mate

    I understand every word you have written, I felt like that when Cotts left and they gave the job to LJ, I didn't renew and still haven't my club didn't go through the turmoil yours has, thankgod but it wasn't golf for me I'vve found a new life in Cornwall, I still miss the gate though and I am thinking about a bit of a return, see how it develops.

    I am personally glad you are having a go with our game, cheers mate. <ok>

    I don’t share Wiz’s dislike of LJ but there was certainly a lot wrong at BS3 and we’ve been there before CJS with the ‘82’ saga.
    Hey, why not pop along to North Street for a few beers when the season gets going again and take a seat in the stadium of broken dreams - that’ll cheer you up!!!

    I've said this so many times it's getting monotnous, I don't have a personal dislike for LJ, I just think he is a 2nd rate coach and was an embarassment for our club his waffle, excuses and trivia made me do one.

    I am a gashead so I know my club is crap. So my falling out of love with football isn't just to do with Rovers poor season. Being kept away from games due to covid meant spending more time with the family. Yes I was still watching on ifollow but that's no time at all. When Barton came in, I refused to follow along with ifollow. So was doing more things with the family and as restrictions have eased, I was doing more thing with friends too, like golf. I got to the point where I wasn't even missing the football and forgot to check the scores and when I did check, I wasn't even bothered about the loss. And I got to the point where I wasn't on here for days at a time. I wasn't even bothered about the Prem either and last season was the first season that I couldn't even be bothered to be involved in a fantasy football league. Usually I be all over international tournaments, watching all the games. I haven't watch any yet. I can't get excited about it. I know the England squad but that's it. I haven't been following along with what has been going on so far. Apart from yesterday hearing what happened with Eriksen. I only joined the predictor league because wiz asked and I thought if I join, other blues may.

    The joys of supporting a rubbish team eh <laugh>, I loves footy but watching it online and with fake crowd noise put me off and I really couldn't be bothered watching any of it to be honest, got to a point where I didn't care that we were playing , but I renewed my ST with my stepdad so hopefully we get to watch a few games in person because I've really missed it and I love going lol
