That's Big Ears off to the Etihad then, I suppose.

And when you think how we fumbled and fannied our way through the tie against Real Madrid, the Chelsea scoreline is pissing me off

Chelsea would have trashed us. They are being far far too cautious here.

I predict a really negative final as well but I would say the fa cup tie shows that chelsea are more than capable of holding out city.

Bayern Club President, Uli Hoeness on the clubs season ticket prices:-

"We could charge more than £104. Let's say we charged £300. We'd get £2m more in income, but what's £2m to us?

In a transfer discussion you argue about that sum for five minutes. But the difference between £104 and £300 is huge for the fan. We do not think the fans are like cows, who you milk. Football has got to be for everybody. That's the biggest difference between us and England".

The same Bayern Munich that were campaigning for a Super League back in 2018. Also the same club that monopolises the entire league.

they don't need extra money for transfers as they just tap up other BL teams best players and get them for nowt as they run down their contracts .

If anyone believes psg and bayern were not right in up to their necks in this super league are deluded.

They just didnt dip their heads into the **** like the other 12 gobshites. (IMO)

The point is a sly dig at the english league by a bully club in germany.

Just cos they are right about gouging doesn't mean they are motivated by goodness and heart.

100% - the only reason PSG didn't sign up straight away is because their owner is on the UEFA committee but no doubt if the other 11 teams went ahead with it, they would have jumped ship.

Haha yes - it's great that they are able to keep ticket prices low and it should be done here. Matchday revenue is one of our smaller channels as well - the big money comes from TV deals and commercial partnerships.

As an aside, that price is only for standing places, which we don't have in England. The cheapest season tickets for seats are over €300. But yes, that's much less than us and they could probably charge more. But then so could clubs like us and Man U.

Though it's a bit rich to preach about monetary morals from someone who went to jail for tax evasion.

I liked this comment because I thought his point was about not milking the fans which it seems they don't do.

I take on board all the other comments that everyone has made and they are all correct. In this instance though, whatever else Bayern do or he personally has done is beside the point. English clubs fleece the fans.

I know Liverpool fans who say the best away days are in Germany in terms of atmosphere and friendliness.

Exactly. Bayern aren't the most moral of clubs but the comments were about ticket prices and looking after the fans.

Always the case in Germany. Match day tickets also act as subway tickets in some places.

    £1.4m each
And what does 5% of the Uefa revenues amount to? Probably not alot for one season. Also doesn't come into action for 2 years, plenty of time to plan for that small loss. I assume that if a club doesn't qualify for Europe, that 5% would be held over until they do.
Arsenal may never face that 5% <laugh>
