Good Morning. It's Friday 7th May, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road

Dutch giants confirm Argentina International availability

In a recent interview with Dutch magazine Voetbal International, Ajax Director of football Marc Overmars has confirmed that Leeds target Nicolas Tagliafico could leave the Yohan Cruijff Stadium this Summer, if the price is right.

Tagliafico, 28, renowned for his stamina and technique up and down the left hand side, would be the perfect answer to Bielsa's dreams. His performances have earnt him 20 international caps for Argentina! It is believed a fee of 13m is sought from the Dutch Champions.

    Overmars revealed,

“A departure for Nicolas Tagliafico and David Neres would not be illogical. “Neres has been with Ajax since the beginning of 2017, is 24 years old, and wants to take a step. The same applies to Tagliafico, who has been playing here for three and a half years now and will turn 29 next summer.

It is no secret that they are open to a transfer. Just as it is well known that outbound transfers are a significant part of our revenue.”

    Bielsa's pre match Press conference

Marcelo Bielsa gives a full update, including an injury update on Raphinha, Costa and Phillips, and whether Liam Cooper will return to the starting line up following his three match ban?

    D-Day for the Championship

Following their relegation to the Championship, Norwich City and Watford have made it look relatively easy this season, and return to the top flight with games to spare. Even Bournemouth have made the play off's comfortably. They join Brentford, Swansea and plucky Barnsley in the play off's to see which club could be 150m better off?

They say, getting out of the Championship is one of the most difficult tasks in the World - At the other end of the table, Wayne Rooney is making it look simple. The Rams have won twice since mid February and are teetering on the edge of the Championship trap door! Only a win against Sheffield Wednesday will secure their Championship status.

The Wendies have recorded recent victories at Barnsley, home against Blackburn and they thumped Cardiff 5-0 at Hillsborough. They started the season on -12 points for financial irregularities. Upon appeal, their punishment was halved. If they beat Derby tomorrow, it will be the first time this season that they are outside the bottom three, but only a win will secure their second tier future.

If Derby lose or draw, Rotherham have a chance of survival, but only if they win at the Cardiff City Stadium. The Millers (Rotherham) have a point more than their Yorkshire rivals.

Who do you want to see go up / get relegated?

    Good morning,

I'd love to see Barnsley come up, even though we seem to get thumped 5-1 or 5-2 every time I'm at Oakwell.

None of the three teams in danger deserve to stay up but Wednesday and Derby going down would be hilarious. If you believe the rumours, Derby County could well be liquidated if they get relegated and can't push a takeover through.

Morning @ellandback. Good work as usual.

In a perfect world I would like Rotherham to stay up and Derby and Wednesday down. The priority would be Derby to get relegated.

Obviously we want Barnsley up from the play offs. They have alot of our old youngsters there and who doesn't like an underdog?

I hope derby and wendies go down, I don't like barnsley mainly because of the aggro whenever you go to oakwell, supporters have a serious inferiourity complex when it comes to their superior neighbours:grin:

Teams Going up don't really bother me but it would be funny to see Brentford lose in the final because they always get seem to get so close lol. Barnsley probably be the best option as they won't be able to attract any good players and will make the relegation down to 2 slots.
Obviously we all want Derby to go down even at the expense of the Wendies. But what a Saturday it would be if Rovrum put them both down :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Season before last both teams in the Championship final cheated under FFP rules. Derby got partly done but got away with the stadium sale because Harvey agreed to it and Morris had a letter from Harvey. Villa got away with it because they won promotion. Birmingham cheated and got deducted points last season, Wendies cheated 3 seasons ago and got deducted points and now we see chickens coming home to roost with Wendies and Derby probably going down. Love it, these clubs laughed at us in L1.

    Afternoon all,

As seems to be the general consensus I would love to see Derby & Wendies go down. Derby deserve everything that happens to them. It is time that clubs who have cheated the system got punished, either officially or by just being so bad they put their existence in doubt.
People say we should have sympathy for clubs who are struggling as we know what that feels like but I go by the thinking that these are the same fans who hate us and have spent years revelling in our misfortunes, so **** em.
