It must be 90% for a Somerset win now, they are scoring quickly enough to take tomorrow's weather out of the equation.

 

Very disappointing session from Hants again.

 

This is all going very well! Gregory and Overton are probably good enough to open for us

 

Pitch is obviously easier to bat on. I do think Somerset might find it hard going to take wickets when the ball gets softer this time around.

 

They are probably a day ahead of the game with a 200 lead by lunch on the second day, still 5 sessions left even if tomorrow is a washout.

 

The third batting point is the priority now, a 4th would be nice but I'm not expecting us to hang around long enough for that.

 

I wouldn't put it past you.

 

Hmmm, with the new ball I would expect Hants to wrap it up quickly.

 

I still don't think tomorrow will be completely lost, the afternoon should be OK.

 

Forecast has significantly improved since yesterday. But it will still depend on how soaked the outfield will be after the deluge overnight and in the morning.

We've got to tea without losing any wickets! This probably counts as a record stand for the period between the start of the second innings and tea, for a Hampshire-Somerset match in early May.

 

Can't say that I have any faith in us saving this, but at least we've got over the very first hurdle of reaching tea unscathed.
