NP on team news for Saturday
Adam Nagy won't be with us because he's back at home in Hungary for a family funeral, which he's had to carry the weight over the last few weeks; I think he's conducted himself very well. So he's back at home.

NP on if Famara Diedhiou is in contention to play
No, no, no... Fam won't be available for this weekend. But we're looking not too bad. I haven't dealt with him today. As I've said to you before I'm really reluctant to discuss individuals' futures, because I think we finish the season before these types of issues are dealt with in any great detail, out of respect for all of the individuals.

I'm not trying to be evasive. It's not just my view but the club's view that we remain very clear on that situation.

NP on if there is interest in Bristol City players
At the moment in terms of people making movements for our players, there's nothing that I'm aware of. And there shouldn't because the window's not open yet. The seasons not over. If there was movement on players... I'm not saying it doesn't happen. The window isn't open so we'll wait and see.

NP on if he's involved in player and staff recruitment talks
Mark's situation is different. That's a club policy decision. Of course my views have been taken into account, because we have very open lines of communication here, which I think are really good. And I think that particular appointment is good for the club. But in terms of everything else, yeah it's very important for me to have input into the players and staff coming in for sure.

I don't know if people have a misguided view of how it works: it's not about having power or control, it's about having an idea what strategically we need to do and it's about populating the Robins High Performance Centre with the right people, staff or players, for the interests of the football club.

One of the side effects is that I get a more efficient staff and a better playing squad. I'm involed in conversations, of course I am, and I'm here to make decisions in certain areas but I know my place in the organisation. That's really important for people to understand. I'm a team player myself and I'm here because I want to be a part of something myself where we can create something, with a positive environment and culture, and I'm a part of that. But I also know where I sit in it.

NP on Brentford and if they're a side to follow recruitment-wise
Well Norwich and Watford are the two sides we'd all like to be, but then if you can't be those two then being in the play-offs is an achievement too... We always have to remember that with clubs like Brentford it doesn't happen overnight. They've had disappointments as well. Thay've got a very clear strategy in terms of how they recruit but that doesn't mean it's the same for everybody. We're trying to make a shift to a different type of a recruitment policy. And we're trying to create something which will stand us in good stead for a long period of time.

Whoever's in my position - and remember I've just recently signed a three-year deal - I see my role as a custodian and my role is to play my part in helping the club to develop. And develop a side capable of getting success and we've already spoken about trying to get Premier League status in three years - that's not an easy thing to do especially when you think where we currently sit. But that's the plan and I believe it's achievable.

Provided we get the foundations in place both in terms of how we work and the people who work here, we've got a better chance of achieving it. And then on top of that the recruitment of the right players, whether it be the right style and types of people, that's crucial as well. There's always a lot to consider. It's very important to not just reflect on what happened, but that there's a clear picture of success. And everybody who decideds to be on the journey is on it for the duration.

NP on Bart Bialkowski's comments in midweek on City
It was impossible to not be aware of this story. I said to the players today that that's like the school bully giving you the Chinese Burn that you're not expecting. We have to take it on the chin. Because our comeback to that has to be how we play this week. People have their opinions on it. It's a difficult observation to take on board. The worst thing about it is the added comment that we have good players. I think that puts some context on how other people see us. We have to do something about it.

Looks like Fammy is on his way, NP's answer to will he be playing was, ' No, no, no... Fam won't be available for this weekend.' Goodbye mate, it's been good knowing you.

Good riddance if the news is true and I was never able to understand why we wasted so much time and money on a player that never reached the expected level. Perhaps many others are about to get short shrift from Nigel because he above others can spot a shirker a mile away and deal with them appropriately.

I predict that Fammy will end up at Sunderland.

If they are promoted maybe, would be surprised if he drops to L1, more likely to go abroad I’d imagine
