    Roly, Roly, Roly,

you are brethren so this is said with love.... your pessimism may ultimately win you bragging rights, but in your heart you’ll be gutted to be right. And I’ll be here to support you.

    but..... it’s on now..... :1980_boogie_down:

Seems to me that at 4-0 we nearly threw it away from reading this. It’s my daughters birthday so didn’t see it. Imagine my surprise when I seen they had scored 2 and we had scored 4.

But for dubs we could have thrown it away with Bruce being a clever knob? Am I right.

The difference between the first team and the bench is astonishing, it’s a chasm. Hendrick? Gayle? ****ing hell, it’s not even”reserves”, it’s like bringing on the women’s team.

There was huge numbers of nufc fans crying for gayle to start.

I also noticed them wanting willock dropped after brighton.

I've concluded the fans collectively are worse than Bruce at judging players.

Can’t believe my daughters birthday got in the way of arguably our best performance for years. I got up this morning (hungover) to watch it as I recorded it and I celebrated every goal as they went in.

Can’t really criticise things to much but at 4-2 (we should be better) it still didn’t feel comfortable in the end.

All fans are the same mate: A player like willock will have ineffective games when the team around him has a shocker.

For me it’s all about getting the setup and tactics right which has an influence on individual performances.

For example I thought ASM was rather quiet last night. But our style of play suited playing against a team like Leicester.

Usually bruce plays only 2 or 3 attacking players, so the othe team can double up on max and get away with it a bit, but we had 4 fast attacking players out there last night and they were not only weaker at cb than usual, but also didn't know who to worry about

True. Hendrick is just a fake footballer. On another day mind we could have lost that.

That Turkish lad at the back who’s usually pretty good had a mare and not having evans helped.

Willock in the team makes a monumental difference.

Shelvey is ****: but if you put a nion identical player next to him (longstaff) I think it doesn’t help.

Willock’s legs also frees up the pressure on Miggy: it’s finding that balance in midfield.

Bruce has done everything that was in his job remit, therefore his boss will be more than happy.

I’ve just posted a separate post saying a similar thing. It’s striking the balance between attack and defend. As an average team you can’t dwell on one or the other.

You have to ask the questions also. In the words of Kevin Keegan, attack is sometimes the best form of defence.

Like it or not, but Bruce's going to get media praise and ultimately he's going to lap it up because he's done well in the end, but the clubs decision to bring in Jones was the turning point and id prior couldn't see the difference then they're short on omega 3.

The difference was immediate and was only hampered temporarily by injuries to 4 of our most crucial players
