So, given we are in practical terms safe from relegation with 4 games to go in the season, was this game really (and I do mean really) the most important game in the history of Newcastle United? Sorry GG and CC I couldn’t resist.
It was the most important game in history. It made us stand up and be counted. It was the tilting point when we knew we where in a relegation fight rather than pissing in the wind. IT WAS THE MOST IMPORTANT DAY OF OUR LIVES. Or not. Who knows. And who cares. We are about to become a footballing powerhouse! So **** it. P.S I voted yes out of principle.
I don’t mind. It’s come good in the end. In honour of how significant it was I will change my signature. All things said. The critical turning point I feel for our survival this season was Traores goal for Wolves in the last minute. Football is great. Just imagine the fans of the four championship clubs in the relegation battle yesterday. Only 1 of the 4 could stay up it was amazing.
