Out watching my local cricket team with a pint of Pride. Fab result today and great second half of the season and I echo all comments re Rangers/team/manager/club. Sad to see Roth/Sheff go down.up the R’s and heres to next season
Amit Bhatia @Amit_Bhatia99 What a way to sign off the season!! Congratulations to our wonderful team and squad, congratulations to all our management and colleagues, and of course a HUGE thank you to our incredible fans. It’s been a crazy bonkers of a year, I’m excited about the season ahead. URR’ssss. If you are excited about next season...please put (just) a little money in...then we will be excited too
From the offy #qpr Warburton... Lyndon picked up a knock but he was keen to play on. The doc said no, and it’s important we protect our players. We know he has a big summer ahead with Scotland – I just hope he doesn’t score against England!
Great finish to the season, well done all concerned. From looking relegation candidates at Christmas the January additions have turned us round and we've outperformed all the play-off teams this calendar year. If we can keep the team together and add a couple more next season could be worth waiting for...
Exceptional ‘21. Really enjoyed watching the team of late and i am unusually confident of winning games. Very pessimistic after losing our “creative “ players but some shrewd signings and the improvement in Willock was fantastic to see. If we can keep the squad as it is then we can give it a real go next season. Excited moving forward and great not feeling embarrassed at the moment to say you support our wonderful club.
I imagine Fulham might want to keep him but it was be excellent if we could do a deal, same for all of our loanees really.
There's some issue between him and Parker that they were alluding to on the podcast this week, so I guess it will depend on whether Fulham stick with Parker or replace him for next season. Other issue will be his performances this season will have attracted the attention of other, financially stronger, teams in the Championship....we can only hope he wants to stay in West London....
I think what's in our favour is he knows he's wanted here and MW can build the team around him. He's the player we've been missing for years and his experience makes all the difference. The powers that be should do everything they can to get him permanently...
Great to have us a win to finish off the season. Very content with the way the team are playing. Hope we can keep Charlie next season. Well done, R'rsss!
Pretty sure Johansen was quoted as saying soon after he joined us that he and his family were settled happily in W.London and it was only a 10 minute extra commute to us than Fulham. So that could limit the competition to fairly local Clubs.
“We only conceded 55 goals, an improvement by 21 goals from last season (when we shipped 76). We had conceded 70+ in each of the previous 3 seasons. We scored 57 (down 10 from last seasons 67)” Our defence definitely made up for the failings of the forwards this season. If you’d told me our defence outperformed our forward line I’m not sure I’d have believed you to be honest. Well done to the defence is all I can say, they deserve a pay on the back.
Clives report, and it's a good one for our final game... The end of the beginning – Report Sunday, 9th May 2021 21:24 by Clive Whittingham A remarkable turnaround in QPR's fortunes in the strangest of all seasons, which began at Luton Town in January, finished in some style against the same opponent at Loftus Road on Saturday lunchtime. The year of the asterisk is over. A period in our lives and sport that we’ll never want to recall or repeat but will not ever possibly be able to forget. Every photograph, every video clip, every moment, every memento, backlit by empty stands, soundtracked by the ghostly peals of long-lost crowds rolling down from public address systems over unoccupied seats to try and inspire exhausted footballers to ever greater levels of mediocrity. It was the year they took the thing we love the most, put it in a tank, and invited us to press our snot noses against the glass and watch from afar. Silently. Helplessly. Grandad, why were there no people at those games? https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/footb.../news/55023/the-end-of-the-beginning-–-report
