Apparently it was Ed Balls who ****ed it, as he was the Lib Dems' point of contact and he tried playing hardball right off the bat
Wouldn't surprise me. I've never joined the Labour party because I hate their attitude to democracy. Seem happy with being in power 40% of the time and do nothing that will stop the Tories in between. My wife joined under Corbyn but she is generally less left wing than me.
Hmm, I wonder if there is a neat way to demonstrate how ****ed in the head this country is ...yup, that'll do it
I think name recognition, ranked voting, Green Party goodwill and utterly awful candidates for virtually everyone else helped her. I can't remember seeing anything from her at all in the media and I still considered putting her first, though I ended up fairly pointlessly choosing second. Most people couldn't pick the Lib Dem candidate from that list and that's who you'd expect to push for third. No idea how the Green candidate gets less coverage than Balayev, who I'm pretty sure plays for Qarabag.
Imagine if this was Labour: https://jewishnews.timesofisrael.co...r-holocaust-posts-made-aberdeen-party-leader/ Unbelievable.
Tory incompetence at it's best. Putting an ex-criminal up for PCC, costing the taxpayer over £1m: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-wiltshire-57070183 Just give leave the results as they are and ignore votes for him. It's their own fault. They can't say that they didn't know, as ITV told them: https://www.itv.com/news/2021-05-09...-seed-disbarred-over-historic-driving-offence Fox hunting twat.
On the subject of the Lib Dems being untrustworthy... Who wants to tell Ed Davey that Graham Roberts will be coming to see him soon?
Radovan Karadzic will serve his sentence for genocide in the UK. Not sure why, to be honest. I don't have an issue with it and I'm glad that this country played a significant role in putting him in this position. Just seems a bit random. I guess it's best to have a neutral country keep hold of him.
