(crying) see op) I just think it's hilariously pathetic that they got about 90 fans down thier ground to celebrate the title. We all joke about them having no fans but I'm not so sure it's an actual joke tbh If the same happens when/if they win the cl then this thread will become legend
It's not a joke. The idea that Manchester is blue is the joke mate. They will no doubt start picking up TV supporters but any idea that City are hugely supported is a myth. They can't even fill their ground at home games, unless they play us.
Not sure how true it is but a number of times they've played at home and posted max capacity on thier official twatter when you can see huge empty gaps in the crowd. Theres a similar myth the #peasants have about the city of Liverpool being blue. No one pays any attention tho really
I don't know about the Prem but I've often questioned how lower leagues attendances are measured. For me attendance should solely be measured on turnstile clicks, not on ST sales that reserve seats for a whole season or cheap discounted tickets that weren't used. I often wonder if attendances are massaged due to the FFP rules. Now if you apply my logic to the Premier League, I assume fans buy ST's regardless, even if they are not going to use their full entitlement, so they don't lose future entitlement to their seats. I assume also that an ST holder gains privileges when European tickets go on sale. Whereas could the benefit of holding an ST, outweigh black market prices on European Cup games. Then once you add in corporate! I heard something that UEFA wanted entitlement to 3,000 tickets assured over whereever the Champions League Final is played for their financial backers. Which brings me to say tongue in cheek, It's just become a show piece for kings, rather than for genuine supporters. Now stick Manchester City in to that equasion and you end up with a bunch of plastics.
That's pretty poor, though not unusual from supporter's who for some support clubs miles away from where they live.... i got man u and Liverpool supporting mates who live in my area and it's a joke they call themselves supporter's.... sitting on the fking sofa is no supporter. I live half way between Swansea and Cardiff....watched both teams when I was a kid and even followed merthyr in between. No glory supporter me
You Manchester born @Treble And a few games a season means you're a Day tripper no? Im not savvy on the lingo
Nah and nah. Im just asking bro cos Aber seems to think you're as plastic as they come. Im exempt from this convo for obvious reasons
I mean there's no question I'm a plastic. Just wanna know if trebs is too. I think he's a day tripper right? Few games a year
