Good Morning. It's Thursday 13th May, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road Could Leeds smash transfer record on Brazilian ace? German media outfit Sport Bild have reported that Leeds could smash their current transfer record, and bring some more Brazilian magic to Elland Road this Summer. You may recall that last Summer, Victor Orta was tracking Matheus Cunha, but the versatile forward opted to stay in the Bundesliga and moved from RB Leipzig to Herta Berlin (either that, or Leipzig still hold a grudge over the Jean Kevin Augustin affair). The 21yo has netted 16 times, in 18 appearances for the Brazilian U23's. In his domestic league, he has scored eight, and has the same number of assists! Cunha has made it clear that he is open to new opportunities. He can play anywhere across the forward line or as a central midfielder. A fee of over 30m would be expected for this exciting youngster. please log in to view this image Galatasaray have no interest in Alioski Turkish media outlet Asist Analiz have claimed that Galatasaray have no interest in signing Ezgjan Alioski this Summer. The news comes as as a bit of a shock, with continual reports of a deal, and a pre contract. Both club and player have never denied this! Alioski has been offered a new contract, but as of yet has not signed it. Whilst I'm sure we all have a soft spot for the 29yo prankster, and warmly appreciates the shifts he puts in on a weekly basis; he is unlikely to help Leeds move to the next level! I'm sure there will be queue for the North Macedonians signature, especially after the European Championship this Summer! Should Leeds be offering Alioski a new contact? please log in to view this image Leeds first team coach on Murderball Leeds First Team coach Benoit Delaval has revealed to the 'Pacey Performance Podcast how Bielsa's training methods, including 'Murderball' has helped the Whites outrun 34 out of their 35 opponents this season. The noticeable exception was away to Manchester City when Pep Guardiola's team inched it by 200m against 10 men Leeds (having had Cooper sent off) Delaval explained:- "Since the start of the season, our Premier League matches have lasted an average of 96 minutes."But the average effective playing time is 54 minutes, which represents 56%." "In Murderball, we try to have an effective playing time equal to the time of the period," "So, we play the throw-ins quickly, there is very little free-kicks, no corners. For this reason the intensity is high." The entire interview can be found here: please log in to view this image
Morning, That's why I never listen to Transfer Speculation anymore. because let's be honest nobody knows nothing. I used to get really excited when a name popped up that floated my boat but now I just take everything with a pinch of salt. I'm sure if the club want to get someone over the line quietly the last thing they want to do is spread it to the world letting everyone know he's available or we making a move. Alioski if he doesn't want to sign let him go wherever he want's. hand on heart even though I like the bloke I'd be disappointed if he is in contention at LB for us next season as to me that would not be a sign of pushing on. Let's be honest it has been a weak point and teams know it. Don't get me wrong he can put in the odd good performance and will run till he drops but the form isn't consistent enough and let's be fair to Alioski as well LB is not his position but again he's there because he's not good enough to play in any other.
Morning all Bielsaball is now a religion and whatever he does he does it to win games entertain and everything is based upon data. With the main point of everything starting from “what is the best most proven way to win a match”. When you start there and follow the route map you get Bielsaball. Bielsaball was the forerunner of moneyball. What type of player do I need in this position to be able to do ## and thats really how Bielsa and Orta work. We probably wont sign any worldy headline grabbers but we will sign players who fit the system and very very good players in their own right.
Afternoon all... Every year we are linked with umpteen top players and we end up signing someone who had never received a previous mention. It’s all part of the fun though
Afternoon all. Slow day on here today so the perfect opportunity to post this. Any support is appreciated. https://www.justgiving.com/fundrais...app&utm_term=8f725e2430e54842927746d218748b18
A little bit more info required, please, Hemase. In the photie of the 4, are you one of them? You're not the guy with the cancer, are you? If not, could you tell us your reason for punting the link? Basically, just need to know a bit more. So go on ..... sell, sell, sell!
I am in the photo. I'll let you guys have a go at guessing which one I am. Luckily none of us have cancer but unfortuetnaly we are all at an age now where we know plenty of people who have prostate cancer or have been affected by it including relatives. We, as a group, try to do an event for charity every other year. The photo is from when we did the Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge, 25 miles over three mountains in 10 hours. As someone who is Lincolnshire born and bred those mountains were quite the challenge. We are all keen golfers, not very good but keen at least, and we saw the golf marathon advertised on social media so picked it as this years challenge. Feel free to ask anymore questions guys.
Man Utd will receive a penalty for their fans behaviour tonight outside Old Trafford. Bruno Fernandes will take it
Looks like we are fighting it out with Veeeeelaa for tenth spot. None of the u23s will get a look in now.
