Still basking in the glory of last night made all the better for so many reasons, second team against Leicester but first team against us, the targeted protests, the whinging Portuguese Mark 2 and despite all the problems we have had, we beat them well. Loving it
He is one our most important players and has been over the past 2-3 years - in a team that has won the CL and PL! And he's still just a kid! He influences games from right back!
Just as well! We were awful - no energy, no desire, no pressing, giving the ball away. But then something just clicked (I think it's when Fabinho and Thiago finally woke up!)
Looking forward to seeing a few utd supporters at the Cheese over the weekend. The period between 2 - 3 and 2 - 4 was ****ing painful. Hell of a release when our 4th went in. Fat Sam. the growler and Woy to come. Surely one of those aren't going to **** us up?
Loved Salah's celebration at the end. What a player and what a man. We have to give him a new contract!
Imo what shows.more is how upset he was walking off after newcastle compared to MANE Salah gives a ****, every game it shows even if he is **** like v southampton lol.
Was nice to see us play some decent football again. Robertson had a good game defensively, looked like Klopp got the tactics right to help cover the two slow guys at the back.
I don't dislike him, tbh - he seems a decent bloke and is honest enough in his comments. I just don't think he's cut out to be a manager at this level. Utd obviously have some good players, but he couldn't get much out of them until it all came together when Fernandes rocked up. I've said before, he reminds me of a man on a runaway horse who is as amazed as anyone one else that it just happens to be going in the right direction.
Ole is a glorified PE teacher. United finishing 2nd in a season with little quality across the entire league, relied heavily on penalties and huge fortune. This is a false position IMO. They can be happy with 2nd place and potentially winning the EL but they will never challenge for anything substantial whilst Ole is at the wheel.
They've also got a pretty big squad. It may not have the depth in quality as Citeh, but there is alot of experience in the backup, even the kids they sometimes pick have played some first team. The give away is the bench, when it features names you at the very least heard of then its a fairly big squad. Unlike ourselves and Leicester (and a few others) where we've had names on the bench that even the fans are asking who they are.
But for two games when we allowed last minute equalisers, we’d be pretty much nailed on for a CL slot. We’re trying to do it the hard way but at least we still have skin in the game, which I didn’t expect to have before kick off last night. It’s much more satisfying to watch us play like we did last night....there’s been too many games when that wasn’t the case this season.
They have a lot of deadwood costing them plenty, Matic, Mata, Fred to name a few, a bit like us with Origi, Ox, Keita and a few more. City’s bench is so strong, that is why we need to strengthen the squad this Summer, but looking forward to Virgil and Gomez coming back as well as Hendo
