It's only the Daily Mail though, let's see what more reliable sources say.

That bolded sentence is simply not true.
    Adam Pearson's era proved that.
Attendances were impressive. The buzz around the region was great during those years. The vast majority of the local population finally felt pride in their local team, and wanted to be part of it (whether that was attending or simply joining in the buzz), from little kids right up to grandparents who had previously lost interest, and including people who weren't even really football fans.
City fans are happier when they are not being treated like **** by **** owners. That's the issue.
The owners job isn't to piss people off repeatedly and to make it such a challenge for the community to support their local team; their aim should be the total opposite. And to anyone comparing our situation to say a top 6 side and their ownership,it's totally irrelevant; the economics and dynamics are near polar opposites.
Hopefully many do return next season, not least in view of your last sentence, which is something that is absolutely great to see. But for this club to truly thrive it needs either the Allams to change their ways out of all recognition (which isn't going to happen) or for them to **** off asap, ideally within 24 hours.

I doubt people repeating lies about someone chucking bricks, will do much for constructive dialogue

Might be worthy of an award though? https://twitter.com/_DHOTYA

    1. You can't pay at the turnstile, actually if you could we'd have more fans in the ground
    2. I think we would, but as neither of us know it can't be stated as fact either way
    3. But you suggested we went up because there were no fans in the KCOM, you can't have it both ways
    4. Agreed. I'd hardly describe it as gladiatorial at all though, it's too quiet, although I don't like the small number of fans who are vocally critical of players during games, and if I ever do it would be in conversation to someone next to me rather than something the player could ever hear. I assume you're on your feet every game vocally rabble rousing? Shame there's not more of you.
    5. I'm anti owners and support the players, vocally, often and on my feet. The two aren't mutually exclusive

    Duffen was front of house.

He wasn't the owner or the wealthiest member of that consortium which appeared to be Russell Bartlett.

Are we sure it's a good idea to fill the KC with rowdy fans "getting behind the lads"?

We've just had a very impressive season that ended with us being crowned champions and the ground was empty.

So here's my plan... Everyone boycott! We could be Premier league champions in two seasons time...

I appreciate that City Man. As you say he was front of house and very much the voice of the board.

Adam Pearson's tenure at the Club was the catalyst for one of the most successful periods in our history, hardly surprising then, that the crowds were flocking back.No-one with a sound mind could deny that Adam Pearson came across so much better than Ehab Allam.

You've mentioned grandparents who had lost interest? In essence you've agreed that the drop in support isn't something that is new to the Club or something that can be exclusively pinned on the Allams? The drop from the Premier League has(in my opinion) ,derailed much of the buzz, pride and young kids proudly wearing our teams colours. There are a lot of things about Ehab Allam that don't sit well with most of us but some of us differ in that we continue to support, whereas others have had enough(entirely their perogative).

Just to confirm...I don't support Ehab Allam nor do I agree with some of the things he's done or tried to do in the past but I'm not prepared to cut off my nose to spite my face.If he doesn't sell up then a lot of people who refuse to go will have a huge decision to make!! Their own personal decision doesn't affect me in the slightest,I'm fairly comfortable sitting in amongst 10,000 or 20,000.

Your not seriously claiming that being a convicted rapist compares to our owners ? That's a new low to try and prove a point.

I will dispel that. Our crowds dropped alarmingly when we stopped winning games and it has happened all of my Hull City supporting life. It was nothing to do with the owners either, when the club stopped winning they stopped attended. I've quoted this many times but here it is again. 1970/71 New International player manager, and an owner no-one had a bad word for, Harold Needler. 1st home game, 21,000, last home game ( same season) 11,300. Why did they all stop going when it was only about two bob to get in ? (20p)
As for divided, fans, even during the darkest or dark days and the formation of the Action Group when crowds were hovering around 3,000 there were still supporters inside the ground who opposed what the Action Group were doing. It wasn't via a post on a fans forum either in those days it was usually a thump on the back of the head.
Of course football fans will always be divided on opinions over owners/ managers/players/ everything except the shirt. We should always support those wearing it 100% no matter who is sat in the Directors Box because we are the only thing that never changes at a football club.

Staff cars have been damaged by objects thrown off the walkway from Park Street in the past and keyed by people walking past them. By staff cars I don't mean cars owned by the club either, cars owned by staff working for the club, even part time assistants in the club shop. Fact.

    1. I agree
    2. It has been suggested more than once, but the argument for me is that this applies for every other team as well and so it isn't a viable suggestion. Sunderland??
    3. Would we have even gone down?
    4. FOR ****S SAKE... that's about my limit, everytime a say "he is crap" the player ****ing scores the winner!
    5. I am anti private or corporate ownership, I will never protest during the game and actively promote going to a game to enjoy it. Win Lose or Draw.

I used the Oystons as an example of one of the owners that were worse than the Allams, do you know what worse means?

You stated nobody I had mentioned took their team to the Premier League, I pointed out one of them (a worse one) did.

My car has been keyed three times at the KCOM, sadly it's what happens when you get to park immediately in front of the ground and brainless ****ers walk past.

Differing views which I accept, I have met both face to face and believe me Oyston is in a category ( or cell) of his own..

Do the think the 'brainless ****ers' think you work for the club because of where you park ?
