They got away with the JPS throwback, so if it's just the red and white, might be able to get away with it.
Do you remember the sweet cigarettes you could buy as children. How times have changed. I found some photos the other week from a Friday practise session at Silverstone. Photos of the pits and cars of the time. It, must have '92 or perhaps '93. When they were practising I was at Copse corner and Michael Schumacher crashed into the tyre wall. He was out of the car and running back to the pits for the spare car. I called and waved and he actually waved back. Feel a bit dumb admitting to that.
Man.. those sweet cigarette things were great. Basically like eating sweet chalk, but they were delicious.
I do. A follow up question Did you ever think that they were like smoking and that you would give real cigarettes a go? I never actually associated them with real ones, maybe I was just too naive to realise the nasty sweet companies were trying to entice you to smoke real cigys?
I was underwhelmed by the video itself - I get impatient with that kind of BS really quickly... "Stop farting around, trying to manipulate me! Just show me the sodding car, and I'll decide whether I'm excited by it!" And I speak as someone who's always liked the Gulf livery and who likes McLaren. The video just pissed me off. Putting my petulance aside, I suspect I'll be underwhelmed when I see it properly. For me, the Gulf livery only really works on GT cars or WEC cars. But I'll have to wait & see, because I sure can't tell from the Austin Powers photo set. "Just show me photos of the car in a pit lane, or on a track!" Dammit, I'm pissed off again!
I occasionally pretended and I did smoke for about 10 years but mostly because of the women in my life. Gave up at 27, long time ago. This will disgust, I remember getting unsmoked tobacco out of the dog ends and rolling my first cigarette, I was 10. I did far worse than that when young but let's leave that untold. I still made Prefect and House captain!!!
When I was small my grandparents owned a pub and I'd stay with them at the weekends before I started school. I had a red bus that I used to ride behind the bar, I'd stop at each drip tray for drink. Wish I could give up smoking, but the longest I managed was just under a year.
I'm glad I never became a smoker. To quote my sister (and probably a million other people)... "Quitting smoking is easy. I've done it loads of times." But she did finally make it stick. I think she's been 15 years without a cigarette.
Ron would have never allowed a wooden wedge under the back wheel, it would have been carbon at least, standards are slipping!!! Looks better though without all the launch background. Should be nice in the sun at Monaco, if there is any?
Norris has signed a "mulit-year" contract with McLaren. https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/n...r-f1-contract-extension-with-mclaren/6511221/
One of those cases, where if you don't have anything nice to say, best to not say it at all for me.... Though technically I just did.
cue lots of famous names from F1 saying what a great guy he was and how he'll be missed, when really they all thought he was Cnut the great (with some slight rearrangements made.) RD's reaction to the news. please log in to view this image
