Sounds absolutely perfect for a certain section of your supporters Graham Potter insists winning is not the only measure of success in football The Brighton boss believes the process is just as important as the outcome Potter's brand of football at the AMEX has earned him widespread acclaim He's ruminative and driven by improving footballers as people as well as players
He was definitely Chelsea captain think he may of got the gig for England once too. EDIT........just checked, he captained England quite a few times as i now suspect you knew
Increasing the number of matches won is the only sensible measure of success. That will automatically lead to a better chance of winning trophies.
Jack Pitt-Brook of The Pathetic has said this is our current shortlist Erik ten Hag Ralph Rangnick Graham Potter Roberto Martinez Any chance of trimming one off the bottom of the list?
It's been an open secret for months that Hodgson would be leaving at the end of the season Don't suppose that Martinez wants to experience the delights of Croydon? We've got two branches of Nandos now!
Gotta spare a thought for Mason. He’s been manager for about a month and he’s had to face questions about the ESL and now will likely be bombarded with stuff about Kane. Welcome to Tottenham management, mate, lol.
It’ll be interesting to see his presser today. He’s going to get A LOT of Kane questions. Curious to see how many he’s allowed to answer and how he does so, especially considering their personal relationship, before the club press officer starts to bat them away. I thought he dealt with the ESL stuff very well but that was an entirely different situation, he was literally brand new in the job and by all accounts most of the managers and players at the breakaway clubs didn’t know it was happening. The Kane stuff is much closer to him even though he’s not the long term manager.
I think he'll handle them well, as his media training is evident in all of his interviews and he's pretty quick to see where questions are going. Clubs and managers are getting a lot more savvy to journalistic traps and the fans get to see the whole interview, so there are less gotchas. It'll be interesting to see where Mason goes after this and what he'll take from the experience.
Absolutely. I think he’s too raw for the job on a full time basis right now but I think it’s worth remembering the guy is 29 and this is his first real management responsibility. I hope he either gets more experience in the new Spurs setup or goes out and has some success elsewhere for a while because long term I think he could be a potential full-time gaffer for sure.
Anyway... Of course, I'd be more willing to believe anything in the Grauniad if it wasn't for their baffling hit piece on Shrek today
