Not disagreeing with that but Bielsa came in and said to Kalvin you are playing Dm from now on because I know you will be great doing it. He then spent a couple of weeks coaching Phillips and then we started against Stoke with Kalvin playing DM, we smashed them and nit looked back since. Phillips was a DM and a much improved player by the end of pre season.

Roberts has had 3 full seasons under Bielsa and improved a bit and then another bit..... look at what hes done for Meslier, Ayling, Dallas, Ben White on loan, Harrison, Cooper Struijk, Poveda, Pablo, Berardi, Phillips, Alioski. The only player that hasnt reached his potential is Roberts.

I say again I really hope Roberts proves his worth because Bielsa sees something that as yet has not reached the vast majority of fans. If Bielsa wants him then great, but as we speak right now the player isnt good enough for this team, he gives us bits and pieces sometimes but gives us a bad temper too. This isnt about slagging players off, its about wanting the best players we can get and selecting players who will do the biz on the pitch. He isnt good enough ghis season and if we buy another midfielder he wont be good enough next season unless Bielsa wants him as back up for Bamford? But my view he isnt as good as Gerhardt.

You never know he may be selected ahead of Rodrigo for the last 2 games, it may be his last chance I dont know, but he really really needs to put in a performance as thanks to Bielsa

Credit where Credit due Tyler Roberts almost blew his chance, but because Bamford picked up the pieces and smashed a shot on target which the keepr couldnt hold And it rolled back to Roberts. Roberts was cool as fk and knew what he was doing and just passed the ball by the keeper into the net. He took this chance really well, so well done and hope it does you good.

Another anti hero is Kiko who pulled off a couple of top saves to keep us in it in the first half. An assured performance and a clean sheet. Chuffed for him too so lets hope he goes out with another clean sheet at the weekend.

Rodrigo had zero to play with in the first half but gradually Leeds got back intomit and that brought Rodrigo into play more. He was unlucky not getting the pass a couple of times, but his ball for Bamfords goal was sublime well done

Raphinha like Rodrigo was missing for much of the first half but as we got back into it Raphinha exploded into action. Getting fitter and getting back to his best.

Very strange decisions tonight is Llorente injured, is Kalvin injured again?

Berardi? He did ok but surprised to see him before the weekend. Struijk at DM and Cooper not as good as Struijk but at least back

 

They were the kind of routine saves you'd expect a keeper to make, especially one earning £35k a week.

Only £35k pw? I thought he was on £40k in the Championship & would expect him to have a 'promotion wages' clause too, making him earn a whole lot more. I think I'd still get rid & use Caprile as backup. He can't be much worse that Kiko.
