England could really benefit from a few of our best playing in Europe but sadly, for a lot of reasons, that’s unlikely. Ps. Yes I know a few promising youngsters seem to be starting their career overseas, notably Germany but that’s going to take a while to filter through & they’ll probably end back here anyway, if they’re any good.
Last year of his contract apparently. And Villa are rumoured to be in for him You have to imagine we are in a better position as we are offering a first team slot whereas he has competition at Villa Granted we will be looking to sign another player who can cover both. But you have to imagine that is a youngster who will not expect a first team place. Still difficult for a club our size to go out and actively pitch to someone a bench position
See the thread dedicated to Theo joining us permanently. Oh, and welcome to the board! Any problems, send me or Brendy a PM.
West Ham interested in Ings supposedly, don't know if that is a big enough step up for Ings to consider it (or if they would pay the money we would want)
If he wants to go there, they can pay £50 million for him ..... I’d rather we kept him and let him go for free next year than sell him to Wet Spam.
Manchester United sniffing around Ings according to the Telegraph. That could be more of a problem for us if true.
To play what part in that team? Certainly wouldn't be first choice, he'd be a rotational player. If we get the money and he's happy with that so be it.
Cavani Greenwood Ings/Rashford/Martial 3rd choice striker at best and even then competing with others, although they are more often deployed wide. Seems daft as he would likely earn similar as our highest earner but wouldn't play much.
Surely he's worked it out that Manchester is not for him or his family? It's got a dire rainfall record! Much better lifestyle all round down here and gets regular game time. On another point, I also watched the first half replay of the MU v Fulham match, just seeing if, repeat if, Lemina's contribution was anything to be excited by. At times he had a great touch and read the game well, then puts pressure on his teammates by a poorly paced pass. Is he coming back or are we shipping him elsewhere for another loan term?
