Sam Frost (Bristol Post reporter for Rovers) today was asked....

"Any news ref the stadium? Rumours circulating saying Emerson’s Green now a preferred site?"

    Sam's response was...

"I'm told there is no truth at all in that stadium rumour. We understand the fruit market remains very much the preferred site for the club and the sale of the site is in the hands of lawyers. Marvin Rees is understood to be a supporter of the project, and we hear Wael Al-Qadi was pleased to see him reelected."

So no real update. Just that we are still planning on the fruit market.

    2034.

Bristol Rovers, of the Gloucestershire Senior League, still keen on the fruit market site for their new stadium, despite it now being covered in high rise apartments.

This has been going on for years already. I’m only in my 50s and I’ve recently given up smoking, but I very much doubt I’ll live to see our mythical new stadium!!

When I was in my late teens they were talking about a new stadium at Stoke Gifford and I'm in my middle 70s now
