Pretty sure we're limited to a squad of 22 in league one next season.

Adam Reach and Jordan Rhodes have been released by Sheffield Wednesday along with a number of other players. Both would be no brainer signings for Town.

This close Season is probably as good as any to be building a squad from scratch given how many Club’s are under financial constraints and clearing out players.Trouble will be sorting the wheat from the chaff! In Cook we trust?!

Whilst undoubtedly a good player, he's one of a number of strikers over recent years to have lost out due to the fashion of playing only 1 striker upfront. Whilst different players it's a similar situation to Sears, in that in a 2 upfront you have a very good players but can't really play as the lone striker or in the wide forward positions.

I could be wrong but due to the formation Cook wants to play I doubt Rhodes will be on his wishlist

Rhodes is a done deal and TWTD says Bradley is staying put.

I always thought the Bradley deal was possibly a step too far for us. It is going to be one helluva sales pitch to get established Championship players to drop down a level to a mid-table League One club, which is what we are after the last couple of years. And that’s despite the investment.

Hopefully we won’t see a pattern of Championship players using us as leverage to get better deals at their existing clubs.

Hard pass for me. We shouldn't be replacing injury-prone players with more injury-prone players, and Wilshire is the personification of injury prone. Defoe seems unrealistic, but you think he'd score a lot of goals in League One for next season. I doubt we'd get him. I see Charlie Wyke is possibly available on a free after a very productive scoring rate for Sunderland last season. If we can sign him, that would be as good a statement signing we can possibly make at this level. But again, I think a few Championship clubs would be sniffing around him and you'd think he'd prefer to move up a level rather than slog it in League One for at least another year.

Charlie Wyke couldn't step up to the Championship. He's just not a very good player but he's been playing in a side that ensures him simple finishes and he still misses his fair share of them.

I'd happily let you take him from us as I expect to be bringing in better for next season with the money we have now.

Getting in those good positions is half the job of a striker and finishing them 30 times is beyond our wildest dreams at Town at the moment.

    According to TWTD:

Accrington centre-forward Colby Bishop and Hull City skipper Richie Smallwood are the latest players to be linked with the Blues.

Bale to be offered shares in Gamechanger20 to become our statement signing similar to Drogba at the Rising ......I’m imagining.

A quick google of ‘Gareth Bale Ipswich’ provides this gem from 2012:

“Elliott Hewitt, who is set to become Town’s first signing of the summer, is a player very much in the mould of fellow Welshman Gareth Bale, according to those who watched him during his time with Macclesfield.”
