Except if I’m in a mountainous region. Put simply there is no conclusive evidence that there is a God and there is no conclusive evidence that there isn’t a God. It all boils down to belief. Just as an atheist cannot prove there is no God someone who is devoutly religious cannot prove there is a God. Ask yourself how did the Universe start and take it from there.
I agree and it's the same as me saying I believe alien pixies invented the universe. Nobody can prove me wrong. What we do have is science
Well the current best explanation we have is the big bang. Evolution also took a big dump on religion. Science has answered alot more questions than religion that's for sure. I can't be certain but I'm pretty convinced there's nobody listening to our prayers
I honestly couldn't give a **** either... I mean I see bees bounce off my window and then try again. The bee will never understand what that is or why it's there.. It just doesn't need to.. It's irrelevant it just makes honey.
I do not personally believe in a God. As long as the people who do don't chat to me about it, I don't care. Don't blow anything up either, thanks.
I like to believe in the concept of an afterlife.... However I'm an extremely logic and analytical minded person, and all logic points to just being switched off rather than the soul continuing. There are documentaries and people saying they had near death experiences, where they say they saw God saw dead friends etc... but during an experience like this the brain releases euphoric chemicals that will make someone have visions like this. Once again, science is a better explanation than religion. I really hate organised religion, one of my favourite quotes is from Ned Flanders in the Simpsons after his house gets destroyed in a hurricane "I did everything the Bible says, even the bits that contradict the other bits".
Indeed. If I said to you that I could fly then surely it's down to me to prove that I can rather than you to prove that I can't? I dislike religion to be honest. I don't mind when it gives little mrs Miggins a bit of comfort or whatever but when people start ignoring this life for some notion of an afterlife then it gets a bit much. Obviously the biggest issue I have with it all is the conflict that comes with it. I'm not suggesting only religious people do bad things, far from it, but an athiest has never killed someone in the name of nothing! You get the absolute hypocritical bastards too. People who claim to be christian but then show a real lack of empathy to their fellow man. Honestly believe I'm, as an atheist, a better christian than most christians I've always acted with the same sort of compassion jesus is said to have had and if I was ever to turn up at the pearly gates the idea that I wouldn't be let in for not believing despite living a life whereby I helped others seems mental and just a little bit arrogant of an omnipotent being. Likewise the rapist who repents on his death bed gets into heaven, sounds reasonable. Science cannot explain everything, what was there before the big bang, where did that energy come from etc but that doesn't then give credence to a creator. Who created the creator, what was there before the creator? Anyway, in short. Is there a god? No
