Well weekend No2 of no league football and not any decent transfer stories. We are getting plenty of old hashed up transfer reports, and plenty of ex footballers telling us who we need to buy and I just love reading about idiots like John Newsome, Kevin Phillips, Paul Robinson, Danny Mills, Jim White, Agbonlahor, McCoist etc telling us where we are going wrong.

Southgate has proved just how far out of his depth he is and we will shortly see a disaster unfold on the football field, and then a woke media going after him and suggesting some other useless fool should get the England job. On the same subject I would put ‘White Jock’ (WJ) on ‘block’ for the next few weeks because he is going to be insufferable, so if you get triggered easy, block him off

Some big managerial movements this last week as we see Conte just about to take the Spurs job, Keoman staying at Barcelona, Ancelotti leaving Everton for Real Madrid which means we have Everton, Spurs, Wolves and Palace all with no managers in the premier league at the moment. It also means a lot of players who were supposed to be sold off at Barcelona and Real Madrid will now be staying and be topped up with a bunch of other top players arriving on free contracts. Juventus and Roma and Napoli all have new managers and both Milan clubs also have financial problems due to Chinese capital flight. With Allegri taking over at Juventus get ready for some fireworks which should mean Ronaldo on his bike to Madrid…

Looks like Chelsea are giving Tommy 2 Coats another £200m to spend this Summer which means his squad will be worth almost a billion quid. Expect Chelsea to fly next season. Liverpool will be much better and Man City will push for the league again. Man Utd will be average mostly until they decide to sack OGS who is at best average and has the tactical nous of Southgate. With luck Leeds can push into the space between 10th and 6th and fight a much better Spurs under Conte and Arsenal. What next for Everton and lets be frank about Ancelotti who is a brilliant coach. He was driven out of Everton because scousers broke into his house twice and robbed the family blind, so that didn’t endear the family to Liverpool. Rodriguez and Allen will now leave and it seems Ancelotti want Richarlison as well as Gareth Bale back in the Real Madrid side. Ronaldo also has a great relationship with Ancelotti so you may also see him back. Juventus had to scrap the experiment of letting Pirlo manage the team because even though Ronaldo has scored over 30 goals again it cost them the league and more. So what now for Pirlo?

So not much Leeds to talk about unless you’ve heard anything. Have a good weekend

Biggest bollox story seen for a while was produced in our very own fan publication MOT. What were they thinking?

Bielsa has demanded £4.75m per year and a 2 year contract to take over at Fenerbache. Why would Bielsa demand a 2 years deal anywhere when he could get a 5 year deal in Leeds if he wanted. Why would he want to play in the Turkish crap league instead of playing in the best league in the world against the best players in the world andgo up against some of the worlds top coaches.

Nah leave Whitejock your feeds guys. Scotland are ranked alongside lgbt.. Woke... And blm... Each have their say but really do not amount to much in football terms. Now if the sweaty socks had a team full of black players with full glasgee accents that would be comedy gold. So take some pity and let the scots cream their knickers. Southgate should give them enough to giggle at. As for his tactics are England playing six at the back.
Happy 3 of our players are not at the euros and will be fresh for next season.

Looks like Liverpool are up to a dirty tricks campaign again regarding young players. 2 weeks ago Liverpool said Yasser Larouche was being released along with some other academy players. Larouche was wanted by Leeds last Summer but they wanted wads if cash so we refused and walked away. They were told by the kid that he will walk away when his contract runs out. Now Liverpool said today they have offered Larouche a new contract knowing he would refuse, but because they offered a new deal they will mow be entitled to compensation from any club who signs him….. bandit scousers

    Great thread as always doc,
So it seems Conte is not going to spurs, who they going to get?
Koeman stays at barca, no budget.
Ancelotti at real madrid, no budget but they do have a lot of players on loan worth money, just got to find buyers, not easy
But they could find the cash for m'bappe, that would stir the merry go round!
Citeh, surely need a 9 Kane? Obvious choice.
As for us, I'm happy with what we have, LB and an 8 would be good, but only pure class, I think Orta might surprise us.
And England, well, defensive set up, might try to knick games 1-0 ,not really got much interest in the tournament.
Seems like a summer of playing cards close to you your chest, can't see anyone trying to bust the bank.
On a side not what plans to our friends from bermondsey have?

With Conte knocking Spurs back it means chaos for Spurs and Harry Kane, also Son is in the middle of contract talks? One person Spurs did get is Fabio Paratici as new Director of Football. It was thought he was part of the Conte team but he's now part of the new manager search so expect someone like Sarri or another top Italian to take it. Conte wanted to bring more than 4 of his backroom team Spurs refused, he also wanted an extra £3m they refused and he also wanted a bigger budget for new players. Spurs now need to sell to rebuild

Transfer window opens on Wednesday so a lot of clubs will be doing deals with International players before the Euros start if they can. However there will be plenty that happen right up to the deadline day as usual.

Will we be bringing in an International player? In a way I hope not because that would mean not having him at the club for a full pre season and can also expect to see him arrive much later due to having a break after the Euros. We signed 3 full Internationals last Summer and one who will now be deffo on Brazils radar.

Lots of talk about South American players refusing to play in Copa America as original venue in Argentina cancelled due to covid and moved to Chile but infection rates as high. Brazilian European based players talking about getting on planes to come back to Europe?

So Spurs are now goosed. Massive debts, players at end of contracts, players wanting to leave, no top manager and can only afford a manager who is available as cannot afford compensation package. All because of greed and ambition. Yes covid as done damage to finances but Levy sacked Pochetino rather than back him with new players. Spurs now in dire straits as a top manager will want a budget to compete. Pochetino schooled and coached his squad and got them to the CL final and then wanted to add to the squad and was refused, so they now have a decision to make and for me they need to accept they will not have the ammunition to get a top coach, so bring in Eddie Howe and let him build a squad from scratch as a 3 year project, bringing on some of the top academy talent and building in with existing players still in contract. Hey may need to get 2 or 3 top players from Man City as part of a deal for Harry Kane, which would be a good start?

Just shows how greed of owners can kill a football club. Best stadium in Europe but massive debts, and then put themselves up as BIG 6 ESL team. Big? Not won anything for decades……

Eddie Howe couldn’t handle the Burnley job and bottled the Celtic job so not sure he’s the answer. Little seaside town manager at best.

Glad Leeds are a lot more forward thinking than Spurs. Bielsa demanded a large financial package (£6m per year I think) to bring his entire back room team with him, as Conte did. Leeds agreed, knowing the outlay would be recouped by not having to spend vast amounts in the transfer market, and instead improve the players already at the club whilst overhauling the entire set up.

    Leeds haven’t looked back since.

Looks like Leeds are getting on with this major job, includes rebuilding the mound and drainage system and sprinklers.

When Radz said we hope to follow Leicester way of doing things he meant it
