Pretty mad how it happened two years ago and it's only just going to trial now. I'm pretty sure that COVID or not if I assaulted someone in the street tomorrow I wouldn't get two years grace to crack on as normal.

Whatever, hopefully the horrible little **** is found guilty.

****ing pushed him over from behind.

The guy is a poisonous little coward who shouldn't be allowed near football.

He didn't say anything positive, he pleaded "not guilty"

Haven't studied the incident but if Stendle says someone pushed him from behind and can't identify who did it, if there is no other witnesses which I find hard to believe, or CCTV then I think Barton will get off as it's all circumstantial evidence, and although everyone thinks he did it if there's no hard evidence then the judge will direct the jury to acquit him sadly.

Aye I was thinking the same, if there are no witnesses then he'll get away with it. Seems unlikely that him and Stendel would have had the tunnel entirely to themselves though, there's usually quite a few people knocking about including stewards.

Not necessarily. When I was a juror recently the judge could give direction but could not tell the jury what to do. That was down to us and only us. I’m fairly sure the bloke did it but I had to look completely objectively at the evidence and couldn’t send him down.

Hopefully we have jurors who are as impartial as I would be!!
