We have one number 9 who really stepped up/ stood up when needed HT2, in simple terms, the kid hasn't been given a fair crack of the whip as the back up...
Perhaps, but managed 19 games last season and it seems to be more short niggly ones as opposed to anything major. If you gave me the option of having KLP and Brady fight it out for the left sided spot whilst accepting Brady would only be fit for about half the games i'd still take it if money was no object. Its pie in the sky, obvs.
I would love to see him back in a City shirt ... so long as he could accept our wage constraints. His experience and presence could be invaluable too. We have others who can do the running for him. Won't happen.
i watched Ghilas a couple of times at the training ground. He turned up with his agent, his driver, another guy who looked like his father and a translator. I heard they were all on the pay role. He looked nothing better then a good amateur. He was fast, but so was I when I was 20/21 and he had a good grasp of English swear words, but not a lot else. Someone had our pants down with that one.
34 years old now but would still have ability at this level.Wage expectations would in normal circumstances put him out of our range but these aren't normal times and he's crying out for a Club? His passing ability and his distribution would be a huge asset, not worth breaking the bank for but if we could get him on a short term deal and a realistic pay packet I wouldn't be complaining?
Cannot see it happening although I know our owners thought very highly of him. He would make an excellent club Ambassador.
He was deemed to not be good enough for a struggling Derby. Not sure he'd fit into our 433 which relies on mobility, even from our holding midfielder. So sadly not
On paper he would walk into the team (the huddlestone we remember) I think he got released a while ago so it’s a bit strange he didn’t get another club. If he has been out a while and at 34 it depends how his fitness is (he’s always been a unit). He won’t fit into our current 433 but as we’ve said grant needs to find a plan B although he won’t agree. Maybe a plan B with Tom in it might be an idea. Wage wise could be an issue but it’s strange times and a 34 year old out of work footballer can’t demand top dollar...surley
If Tom wanted to play he would have taken up an offer The money was obviously more important to him and he came away with nowt Time to move on much as we all rated him
Did he get any offers? The last article I read on him said he hadn't had any offers but he was open to them?(don't ask me for a link,I'm not educated in these high tech actions) I get where everyone's coming from here and I'm not fussed either way but I feel he could prove a valuable asset at this level...I note Rangers have kept Defoe for another year in a player/coaching capacity,he'll still get games but Gerrard sees him as an asset to younger players and development.
