My view would be that we should release Fabri, McDonald (although we should give him a coaching role), Bettinelli & Christie. Kamara's contract runs to 2024.

I think Knockaert, Kebano, Sessegnon & StefJo should rejoin the squad, although given how Parker has treated him I suspect StefJo will ask to leave.

If we can recoup any money on Mawson, Seri or Le Marchand then great. Perhaps we can convince Bordeaux to swap Seri for Maja straight up? I don't think any of those three play for the club again, beyond maybe a few token appearances at the beginning of next season.

Areola, Andersen & Lookman are all way out of our price range, Lemina was only good in patches and RLC is both. The only loan that I would consider revisiting (aside from Maja, should the Seri swap be available) is Ole Aina, although certainly not at the amount previously quoted. I think Aina's versatility is valuable, he grew through the season and I think we might be able to get a better deal done.

Our current first XI for next year (Rodak; Tete, Adarabiayo, Hector, Bryan; Reed, Onomah, Anguissa; BDR, Cav, Mitro) is not a bad one, with players like Knockaert, Cairney, Robinson and Carvalho switching with some of those. However I suspect Mitrovic will leave if Parker stays and I think we'll try to sell Anguissa & Tete. So I expect another summer of 10 signings and another slow start to the season.<doh>

EDIT: I'd also keep Tim Ream, if his contract has been extended already. He's a team leader and we sorely need some of those with McDonald likely retiring and StefJo/Mitro likely to leave.

The club have lots of problems to iron out.
    • Getting in the Head of Scouting now, sooner rather than later. (Would a new coach be able to bring in his own man?)
    • Finding out what FFP rules will be in place for next season (EFL need to pull their fingers out)
    • Redefine Tony Khans role in Club. It seems his analytical experiment has failed to produce the required quality.
    • Sack or keep Scott Parker as Coach. If a new coach, then get them in immediately.
    • Or change back to a Club Manager style, where he has overall control of recruitment and coaching.
    • Reintegrate players returning from loans or move players on if not wanted by Parker. (Is it easier to sack Parker and get a new Coach ?)
    • Obviously if we don't have things in place quickly we will again suffer a disjointed beginning to the season.
I'll probably have to add to the list the nearer we get to KO.
Looking at most clubs unless you have a decent balance running through the management of CEO, DoF, Manager/Coach in place nothing runs smoothly.
eg. Contrast Leicester City to Arsenal.

QPR fan here. What are your thoughts on Johansen as I think it's well known that he settled well at Loftus Road and was a very useful addition. I gather from the gossip on our Forum that he is settled in West London so would want to move here permanently..

I think Johansen is definitely good enough to stay with us next year, but we've treated him poorly and most understand why he'd want to leave.

Parker seems to send the players he doesn't like to Coventry (e.g. StefJo, Mitro, Kebano, Bettinelli), so if he stays then we should sell those players rather than endless loans.
