Win the group, stay at Wembley, finish 2nd, likely to be Spain, 3rd likely to be Belgium. Both would be away too, I think.
We have to just have a winning mentality. Win the group, play whoever we play. You never know, Hungary might surprise & finish second. Was it last WC or EC where Germany didn’t even get to the knockout stages?

So please fill me in on how the crowd is so large in Hungary - is there no distancing issue in Hungary?

Portugal being quite sloppy with some of their passing...almost as if contemptuous attitude towards Hungary...minds concentrating on Germany and just want to dismiss this game as playing a minion.

Portugal just did not seem to be in a frame of mind for this game - Hungary gave it everything and a bloody deflection changed it all.

How were the groups put together? Germany, France & Portugal in a single group with England having to cope with the powerhouses of Scotland, and Czech Republic.

Hungary lifted almost all restrictions in May once about 50% of the population were vaccinated. They've used all sorts of non-EU approved vaccines, don't know if that will come back to bite them. As SToast posted earlier their leader Orban is a bit of a maverick and a ****house.

I thought for tournament consistency that the host countries would have to bow to a single authority (WHO?) regarding distancing and that UEFA would have put that in as a requisite to hosting. 25% to 50% capacity was to be considered. But Budapest went way beyond this, while Dublin opted out entirely and matches there went to St. Petersburg

Ronaldo taking the piss out of an ex City keeper there with the late goals, great support though Hungary.
