I thought the same thing and drifting since this afternoon but I'm not getting off the boat, I only have the bet to win but if tomorrow he is above 10/1 maybe I will bet him some e/w. In CC we trust.
Cherry Bloom 9/1 - Down Royal 1.10 I felt she was given an easy enough time of it after dwelling at the start on her first go at the track in Cork and if she can break smartly tomorrow from stall 4 and race prominently, it may well favour her to make it a stamina test and take the speedier types off their feet. She could be a longer term project for Willy McCreery, but this is not a deep race by any stretch. Hell Bent 11/1 - Down Royal 3.25 He has faced some stiff opposition on his first few starts before bolting up in a lesser event at Sligo at the 4th time of asking, that form being boosted since. Pedigree not screaming out for this trip but I feel it is within his range based on those last two runs. In what appears an open contest, I think he offers a little value to land the spoils. Bit of interest at Royal Ascot in Great Max 14/1 - Chesham, Ilaraab 6/1- Hardwicke Best of luck folks, as usual.
14:30 Ascot - New Science (Promising debut by selection at Yarmouth and hope he can follow-up. Wm. Buick rides for the powerful Charlie Appleby yard. Best price by far at time of writing is 13/2 with PP. Going to be tough today again with the bog-like conditions. Best of luck to everyone with their punts! )
I’ve had a go in every race at Ascot today. Why not? 2.30 Masekela win EW Lucky 63 3.05 Storm Damage 3.40 Wonderful Tonight 4.20 Sonaiyla 5.00 Gulliver 5.35 Seasett 6.10 The Grand Visir Have a good day all. Good luck with yours
Probably not going to dabble too much today, but am tempted by an each way on Highest Ground in the Hardwicke. He’s a class horse, second in last years Dante but lost his way a bit after that. He showed some of that old form to win last time out in a Conditions event, only one by 1L but the front two pulled 7l clear of the third. Stouts loves this race and likes to lay one out for it, so, like I say, I may dabble a bit!

Japan @ 14/1 in a Gp 2? Off level weights too. Galileos don’t mind the soft do they? What have I missed?
My scoop6/ew Lucky 63/Acca attempt today. Gone for some bigger prices so have sacrificed BOG and done it with skybet for the extra places. 3:05 - Bellosa 16/1 (5 places) 3:40 - Sir Ron Priestley 16/1 (4 places) 4:20 - Sonaiyla 8/1 (5 places) 5:00 - Gulliver 18/1 (7 places) 5:35 - River Alwen 20/1 (5 places) 6:10 - The Grand Visir 13/2 (5 places)

In the 18:10 marathon 'Finale' at Ascot, I really find it hard to understand and get to grips with the chance of Jessica Harrington's runner, Barbados. Must be going round the bend but surely his overall form would suggest he's a sort of 'Listed Race' plodder? Have absolutely no idea how the gelding will perform over this extreme distance in the very soft ground? Mrs. Harrington is no fool, and neither is her very competent stable jockey, Shane Foley. At the end of 2019 Barbados was unloaded by the A.P. O'Brien stable to the Harrington yard, and, after a 274-day break, had his first run for the new yard in June, 2020. It is the gelding's form since then that has me scratching my head! If you're still awake after reading the above, would appreciate any comments, especially from the Irish guys on the Forum. Thanks! So, the long and short of it is, guess I will probably have a very modest wager on it! Don't want it to slip under the radar!
Hello, crew. Disheartened to see that Beheld was a non-runner yesterday. I only hope that the regular readers displayed their disappointment stoically. Would recommend though that you put Beheld in your notebook. She’s a potential black type performer currently running off a comparatively low perch. Onto this afternoon and I really like the Ryan Moore pair of POINT LONSDALE (2.30) and DREAM OF DREAMS (4.20) today. Think both will prove very hard to beat. Meanwhile, it would be great to see the forum’s favourite owner, Mr Ponsonby, win the meetings ‘lucky last’ (6.10) once again but I think FALCON EIGHT will most likely scupper the old boy. Meanwhile, if the Board boy is around I see the Fergal O’Brien / Devizes Crew 4YO gelding (Carlo Du Berlais) wasn’t cheap - £80,000, last month. Mr O’Brien must be chuffed as that is quite a display of confidence! Good luck all.
Quote "Fleeting Prince and Lexington Dash are further non-runners in the Wokingham Handicap at 5:00. Down to 21 runners in that from 30 now."
While I’m on I must say that Royal Ascot has been most disappointing this term from the perspective that Lieutenant Henderson hasn’t had a runner. Look I know he doesn’t run many on the level but the sight of his name on the racecard and him striding purposefully into the Ascot paddock has always been a joy to behold. Let’s hope he returns in 2022 and I’m sure Her Majesty would second that. What, what…
