I am sure with the money we will be paying him he won’t be relying on Rapide to get him to see his mates.
It should be a given that he moves to the place that will benefit his career most, but we know that there are many outside influences on players who have a short career at best and a none existent one at worst. Girlfiends/Wives are a real pain in the arse, families can be difficult to keep pleased and ultimately money talks and will continue to do so as long as players are paid vast amounts of money to sit on their arses in the stands on match days for Championship and Premier League clubs. We know that all too much to our detriment. I don't see Sanderson being any different to any other young hopeful looking to make the best choice in his next career move. Its all about playing the probabilities at his age. He may as well sit back and relax on 15K a week than graft his arse off on 6K a week and end up with a ****ed knee after 3 games. If he impresses in training at a higher level who knows he may get those games anyway and catch the eye of the bigger clubs again. Yes that could happen at Sunderland too, but its a gamble given our struggles in league 1. Hopefully not as much of a gamble as previously though.
I can imagine its absolutely horrible unless you are very wealthy and then its great. I would love to live in some parts of London as it is really nice however 1.2million+ for a 1 bed flat means I wouldn't ever bother as I would want a whole house to myself. Bombing about in a V12 Aston Martin between the red lights is the way to go for London life. Spewing your CO2 into the faces of the cyclists and pedestrians as you accelerate away to the next red with grin on your face as you are not them.
He can borrow my patio heater if it helps seal the deal mate. He's miles away from the sea in Wolverhampton, so should be happy to go plodging, whether there's a fret or not.
The one thing that gives me a glimmer of hope, is that he had offers from Championship clubs last season and he chose us. KLD wasn't even properly on the scene then either. His relationship with the fans is a good one too, and he hasn't even played in front of them yet. You never know.......
on SAFC now they are saying Speakman is after the AFC Wimbledon defender Terell thomas, who has had pnuemonia for a bit !, we want Sanderson he can play right up there and even the premier league, he could be here 10 years so no worry at that position for a long time, then get the left of the defence sorted Johnny evans ?. How many supporters do they want next season, one massive signing like Clarke-Harris and we will get 40,000 + surely they know that. it was fantastic being at the Lincoln game and only 10,000 there, we could prise any player from outside the premier league.
Ideally I would like to think you were right but footballers are a delicate breed these days and think they're sometimes better than what they are. Some may even look down on us because of the league we are in and reckon that we won't give them the wages they think they deserve. Hopefully the players that come here want to be at the club for the right reasons.
Wolves have just signed a 20 year old centre back from Columbia. Paves the way for Sanderson to leave......
How long are we going to give him? If he wanted to come he’d already be here. I’d start looking at other options.
Why do you keep Blaming Sanderson, for all we know a bid hasn't even been put in yet or, even accepted?,
So, by your so-called logic if he wants to go to another club he'd already be there Which must mean he's staying at Wolves ... ... honestly man, you really need to think about your bait, it's pitiful.
As much as I'd like to see it, Imo he'll have better options...but not necessarily a better club. He's above Efl1 unfortunately.
So true mate, how many teams across all 4 leagues have actually signed anyone yet. Yes I would love us to get all our transfers done as early as possible but it doesn't happen like that
I still think there's something in the fact that sanderson said he was impressed when KLD had explained his vision and plans for the club. I'm not sure if this was a group discussion or personal one just find it strange for his comments if he wasn't interested in staying. Our that maybe just my wishful thinking
