I will be honest and say I don’t know hardly anything about the three we have signed apart from reading about them. Between them I don’t think they have that much experience in the championship but that doesn’t mean they won’t do well. However with hopefully a few more signings to come we will bring in some with experience at this level because i really think we need to. For me there is quite a big difference, yes we won league one but at this next level the team needs improving not the squad. I’m not saying the three new lads won’t do that because I just don’t know how good they will be at this level, they are not proven apart from Moncur but I think even he only played so much last season. Obviously we only have so much budget so let’s see happens.

We offered one to Alfie Jones too... He was the main one & the priority.

Nobody is pretending anything, I don't think anyone expects us to spend much, if anything, this summer.

Perhaps an indication that we haven't missed out on many players. ;)

The bickering on here is worse than that on the no new owners thread.

But but but we have a mid table budget!!! Its true, Ehab said so. That's my only point, he's obviously lying again.
As for me not listening, sorry but its more a case of some on here not reading whats posted.
I'm ok with the plan, I'm not ok with compulsive lying and deception. If some are daft enough to believe what was said, inspite of what's already happening, then TWT.
p.s. u r right GLP. Leaving it there.

Discussion around transfer strategy in the transfer thread, well I never. No personal abuse, it's just a level headed discussion, is there an issue with contrasting opinions expressed rationally?

It's not about us having a big budget, it's about how ****ed the rest of the league is because of COVID. Two years ago, when the last set of accounts came in for everyone, the average Championship wage was £16k a week. Many of those players are still under contract, they're pretty impossible to shift in the current financial climate (unless they're out of contract), so it leaves a lot of Championship clubs with pretty much nothing to spend.

The football landscape has changed completely and regardless what you think of the Allam's, the position we're in and how we've handled it, is amongst the very best in the Football League.

We have a mid table budget, just because you don't want to believe it doesn't mean it's not true.

We know your opinion of ehab etc so no matter what you'll just say he's lying.

You've said it twice now that your leaving it there... Take your own advice

You should read your own posts, four months ago you were saying the squad wasn’t good enough to finish top six in League One and the manager should be sacked.

Just because it's a view you don't agree with doesn't mean it's nonsensical, if anything it just shows your incapable of accepting views and opinions that don't Aline with your own.... Carry on letting ehab live rent free in your head.

Lets just hope the Allams assessment of what is required to stay in the Championship is better than their last effort.

Hopefully the owners and management have learned from it.

A huge factor in our favour is the personalities within the squad are all good ones. In the season we went down we where let down hugely by some players and their attitudes

I think this is spot on. We know that the lads last year had the bottle to go through a bad patch and come good. The manager will be signing players in the same mindset. That’s where next year will be won and lost. I would sooner have players like that than some of the chicken hearted twats that were with us the last time we were there.

Oh dear, you can't let it go can you?!! :emoticon-0100-smile
Responses that are nothing to do with what I actually wrote. That's non-sensical.
Comments saying our budget is / will be 'mid-table' (by whatever non-sensical definition others choose to take up), yet in the same post stating that the AVERAGE wage in this division was £16k p.a. and that many clubs are stuck with high earners for further seasons, whereas we have none, and our higher earners are likely to be half if not even less of that AVERAGE, yet we will have a 'mid-table budget'. That's beyond non-sensical.
Believing what Ehab says. That's even further beyond non-sensical.
Reading "I'm letting it go", then others continuing to reply and bait. That's non-sensical.
Do I need to go on?
I wouldn't say Ehab lives rent free in my head any more than he does in most others. But when he lies, and others believe what he's saying, it's worth commenting on (on a message board).
Anyway, really really letting it go and GFAW.

I changed my mind when we started being consistent and it became clear that my expectations needed to be raised.

    Hope that’s ok.
