He's also been quoted as saying he doesn't play football for the money which is the type of mindset Klopp will like.
I never saw any mention of his family in anything I read. The reason we pulled out, allegedly, was because of increasing money demands from his agent although the official line was a failed medical.
Nor did I, do found that bit strange. Can't recall anything about wage demands, it was mainly around the medical
I don't think the medical was official, was it? I thought there was no official reason and the medical was leaked. Might be wrong though.
I can’t say this is the exact article I read at the time but it’s the same story. Note the second to last paragraph about his brother in law wanting a commission. https://www.90min.com/posts/6469819...behind-nabil-fekir-s-failed-move-to-liverpool
Why has this resurfaced again It’s not the only deal to ever fall Is the guy wanting closure ? Let’s just go with Club changed their mind Weird - not you Z just the fact it’s come up again
I thought it was something to do with a family member changing demands at the latter stages But no one has confirmed anything so no idea why it being dragged up now ?
Because it has surfaced again I went and googled his name. He hasn't hit the heights at Real Betis and is being linked with moves all over the place including ...... Liverpool
He got an honorable mention in the player of the year cards on Fifa 21 in December so must have done alright in 2020. Not heard anything about him otherwise though
I did say this a couple weeks back that 200mil for the pair was the word . City are rebuilding their forward line as the diver and the pen taker. If pep thinks this is the way to go southgate needs to give him a call and figure out how pep will get them up with foden. Man city forward line. Grealish kane sterling foden. Guess what???
Also on fekir. Lfc never gave an official story about it. It's all press after that, I'm sure some nods and winks were given but the guy cannot deny he had a serious knee injury and it's hardly complex to add 3 and 2 for the press. He can whine how he likes.
TBF, if Man City do buy that pair, it can only be a good thing for the England team. Can't say I'm too bothered about Man City getting either if them tbh, neither will improve them imo. Kane replaces Aguero but everyone it's picking the latter as the better player. Do you think Grealish gets in the team? He certainly wouldn't get in ours. It's more a money issue than anything; how can they afford to chuck £200m out in that circumstances, never mind current ones.
Pep wants sterling gone. If grealish stands wide and falls over and wins pens and then commits tactical fouls the pep is happy.
Ridiculous money if true. He’s been good this year, but 100m should be getting you someone that can transform your team. Grealish just isn’t that kind of player. I struggle to see where he plays for city. He just doesn’t seem like their type of player given pep loves the whole pass and move and Grealish just holds the ball too long. Maybe with better players he’s release it more but when he’s played for England he’s held onto it even when on half way line to invite a tackle rather than just move the ball on quickly.
I argued against that. When you've got clubs like Man City, Chelsea, PSG, etc (clubs that pushed transfers fees up pre-pandemic) throwing money about, other clubs have to do it to keep up. Remember, the selling clubs then have that money to spend once the deal is concluded too.
More england players thinking about transfers than last 16. Sancho to utd seems to be nearly agreed. Grealish to city seems a bit of press talk. Kane wants a move desperately. Rice wakes up every day regretting not making it at chelsea Trippier hawking round anywhere and everywhere.
