Thats alot of money to SACRAFICE. Im suprised IM STILL STANDING after hearing it costs that much to see him. DONT GO BREAKING MY HEART by telling me news like this again please.
I believe given the chance Dan Neil would have a massive contribution to assists. He is the one player I've seen that can pick the ball up in midfield with nothing on and play one decisive pass that splits the defence and creates a goal scoring opportunity. I'll never understand why he wasn't given more of a chance when we had the most uncreative midfield. I'd love to see him and o'nien play together
I don't think there is anything to worry about him not signing a contract because I think his options at the moment are sign for us or don't sign for us, for some reason no one else seems interested in him, I'm more concerned whether we can get Hume and O'Nien to sign
Seems increasingly likely that McGeady has firmly decided he wants to stay and has his agent focused on that rather than shopping him around. Much to be said for his family setting there. Hume is an odd one - would expect that to have been sorted immediately. So something not right there? O'Nien would be awesome to keep, but don't think any of us could really begrudge him a shot at the Championship rather than try again with us to get him there. It's a short career. Hopefully he decided to stick it out here, but he's a southern lad who seemingly has lots of interest higher up.
O'Nien is a great character and by all accounts a really good lad. He has a great attitude and gives his all in whatever position he is asked to play in. Having said that, I don't think he is any great loss from a playing side of things - he's been shoe-horned into all sorts of positions, reducing the need to actually buy/loan players for those specialist positions. Jack of all trades and master of none springs to mind. Nothing against the lad, but I think him leaving might just focus the minds of teh recruitment team to get round pegs in round holes
just saw it reading online, he still thinks he is famous and in demand i think he is a queer and i never liked him,
I feel sorry for the lad, basically for like you have said he has been jack of all trades. The one position he's never really had the chance to play is a creative midfielder which is what we actually signed him for. I know he's had to play all over the park but earlier in the season before we had all the injuries, sanderson wasn't getting a game, we could have quite easily played him there and moved o'nien into the middle. Saying that if parkison had of tried that he may have kept his job
