We shall see, but somewhere down the line I'll be complaining about a dive that costs either England or Newcastle and I'll be the guy that has the right to complain without being a hypocrite.

I must have watched a different game. I thought the Danes were the better team for the first half of 90 last night, were unlucky to be level. I thought that continued after half time and tactically I thought their coach was fantastic. They ran out steam badly and we dominated for the remaining hour. Over the 90 I thought they were the better team, but we had full control of added time. I could say we maybe deserved it over the 120 because our hour domination was stronger than theirs but I was impressed with the Danes again. When you look at them on paper you realise how good they are.

I think saying they parked the bus is unfair. They high pressed us into errors for an hour and were the better team. I don’t think they even parked the bus for the last hour, I think they just died a death physically. Mind I don’t think it’s an excuse which means they should have won, fitness is part of the game.

 

The Danes were the better 11 but they got tired and Englands depth was the winning factor in the last 15 and extra time.

I think we'd have scored anyway, but I'll never know now

I think we almost certainly would have they were creaking badly and physically on the brink.

Our depth is the reason we are here along with our togetherness and organisation. It’s as german as we’ve ever been.

Got to say though I liked the Danes, played great modern footy, Dansgaard is a little genius and will be a big name soon, and their coach was all class and very astute.

No, it makes perfect sense. England didn't cheat, it wasn't a dive. It was a soft pen, and my argument is that Denmark offered very little for long periods of time in the game.

We controlled it, and they just shut up shop, parked the bus and tried to survive until the end.

If you sit back then you're riding your luck, which is was Denmark did. And like others have said, we have a very good claim for a penalty turned down earlier.
