Cheaper here in Gibraltar Pop over - it’s a green country- and we can debate football and politics together…..
If course we could have the Tory Covid19, I know which one I will pick. In England.... The number of people being admitted to hospital and dying from COVID has risen by more than 50% in the past week, as the total number of infections topped five million. According to the latest figures released by the government, the number of people dying from COVID in the past seven days compared to the previous week is up 52.6%. There were 35 deaths within 28 days of a positive test reported on Thursday. Of these deaths, 31 were in England and four in Scotland. There were no deaths reported in Wales
Putting things in perspective. Yes, cases have increased rapidly but many are under 25's who have not yet been vaccinated. Also very few in this and group suffer serious effects. 35 deaths is very sad particularly for all involved however this is a fraction of the deaths seen 6 months ago. I addition, yes numbers in hospital have increased but also a fraction of the figure from the start of the year. Schools break for summer in a week or so and it is anticipated the number of new cases will fall dramatically by the end of the month. This will be aided by the greater numbers of young people receiving their vaccinations. Why we're debating Covid on a thread supporting England in the Euros I don't know?
Anyone seen the clip of City fans marching through Bath city centre chanting “footballs going Rome.....”
Want y’all to be the best people you can be tonight........these are two teams at the top of their games.....respect them! You’re not dealing with Leyton Orient now pals! Just hope it’s a decent game and not spoiled by any controversy. Prefer England to win but won’t lose any sleep if they don’t.
