Exactly, it was there for the taking and Southgate ****ed it up by giving the responsibility to the wrong people.

Rashfords penalty was a ****ing disgrace. Sanchos was also crap. Saka well I can’t say I am surprised at all that his was weak. He’s a kid and it must have been horrible to be stood there.

 

The target for this tournament was to reach the semi finals, so it's alright we ****ed up the final by defending a single goal lead and then 3 of the ****test penalties I've seen for ages!

sitting back against italy = bad idea.

playing as if you are going to get the protection from the ref you get every week in the premier = bad idea (totally summed up by the foul on maguire when he could easily have got the ball and continued but stood still waiting for the whistle)

bring two subs on just to take penalties without them having time to get into the game/occasion = bad idea

 

This was always going to happen we did not play in that 2nd half, and that was a bad performance overall by too many players and the 3 misses were laurel and hardy. Kane should have been off early and Rashford on, Mancini would have made the changes.

 

I stopped watching after they equalized. We were looking clueless and Southgate is not one for making bold decisions.

I can understand Sterling not taking one as he's not an especially clean hitter of the ball but Grealish is. If it's the case that he's bottled it and forced Saka to take the fall then he should feel ashamed. If it was Southgates call then he got it wrong.

Still proud of the lads and our country, just a particularly annoying way to lose it.

If Kane hadn’t hit his penalty as hard the keeper would have saved it. Maguires was the best of the bunch high and hard into the roof of the net, unstoppable. The rest were **** maybe even worse than ****, especially Rashfords which was an utter embarrassment.
