Like I said i wouldnt want the team, just saying there is no reason think Grigg will need to be involved. I reckon 7 of that 11 might be in the team...
I'd rather players wanted to come here because it's safc and could be here for the ride rather than the 'riches'..but I'm old-fashioned
My son was doing a scouting report on Nmecha from City and this boy stood out. Pacey aggressive left sided centre back who is comfortable on the ball
Where does this leave Almond? Hardly progression for him if we are loaning younger players in his position. Or is he going to be left back?? If so, haven't we just signed 2 or 3 young left backs?
Developing other teams players and for 2 years? Hmm not sure how I feel about this one. City wouldn’t be sending him here if they weren’t assured of plenty game time.
If they are good enough and help to get us out of this league then I don’t mind. Also would be a good advert for any kids who we are looking to sign if big clubs see us as a decent development path.
Agree with that mind. I couldn’t care less who we sign as long as we’re promoted come May. Sick of this ****e league.
Aye me too, can’t wait to get back to the matches but on the other hand we have horrendous referees and unbelievable levels **** housery and downright cheating to look forward to
Like a lot of posters I would have preferred to have signings in but retain faith in the new management team and the new style of recruitment, it’s far to early to be critical when we are only half way through the transfer window . The scattergun approach we are used to has been replaced with a more professional approach, we will be in a better position to judge when the transfer window closes and more importantly how we start the season . We wanted a change at the top which we got and the new management team assembled is a lot more professional but some posters are criticising before the window has closed and the season gets underway - come on folks give them some space to do their jobs .
Not sure how you can do that when everyone will still be sat together. Ok re the masks but the staggered entry makes no difference IMO
The biggest issue with this is the following: “It was actually centre-back Callum Doyle who impressed the most. While was he able to keep Everton’s towering forwards Tom Cannon and Tyler Onyango largely quiet, it was his play on the ball that really caught the eye. Nearly every City move started with the defender either carrying the ball into midfield or clipping inch-perfect cross-field balls to the winger on the opposite flank. It cut an impressive impersonation of Ruben Dias and showed that it isn’t just attacking starlets that the academy is producing.” It may be a great idea, but I’m not sure league 1 players (which we have) will be on that wavelength!!
