It seems that talks between his agent and the club have stalled even tho Hughes wants to stay Agents are a plague that appears unstoppable
Thanks, that was an interesting read. It gives me a bit more hope for the forthcoming season. I knew we were never going to spend big or even medium big, but hopefully with those signings for the first team we will have more attacking options, the lack of which is primarily why we went down previously. Also, Rose should be decent LB competition with Masina. And, if you combine those with a bit more depth in midfield, we look OKish now. It just depends if Muñoz can get a tune out of them. I'd be surprised if we get any more players in now though, especially to impact the first team, a bit of trimming is needed I think. Conversly, if we don't manage to keep Hughes, (and I think Chabs´s deal also runs out in 2022,) then we might see one more coming in. COYH.
I've seen Chalobah in training pictures but not Hughes although he was at the training ground in one of Fosters videos. I did hear he may have had a minor op so late back to pre season.
We are delighted to confirm the signing of former Celtic goalkeeper Vincent Angelini, subject to international clearance. How many do we need?
Bugger, bugger, bugger - Liverpool apparently back in for Sarr. https://www.90min.com/posts/liverpool-transfer-news-watford-winger-ismaila-sarr
this is the worrying bit....not sure how true it is that Sarr wants to go Liverpool are ready to pay up to £40m for Sarr, who is aware of the interest. He has told the Hornets that he wants to be allowed to make the move, although it remains to be seen if the Reds' value of the player is sufficient.
I am sure we would have heard something before he returned to training . Seems a bit out of the blue .
40 mil and Pozzo's would be tempted I reckon. A few sneaky add ons and done deal. That is their model and we know that. Accounts can't be good after going down either.
