1. I think the Bump was a 1970's song by Kenny and the Bay City Rollers. And, yes I Bumped!!! As for socking it to you, wasn't that a DJ's phrase? I will check.

Sock it to me/you originated on the American TV show Rowan and Martin's LaughIn in the 60's although it was also used in a number of songs in that era.
