Here's Blackpool fans hot take on the breaking news... They seem to think he isn't worth more than a million.

Can't see him going for 200k like one of their posters has mentioned. I thought he was the main man for them last season but they don't seem that bothered about him tbh.

Does anyone think we will buy anybody or are we only going for free transfers and loans?

Not all, but the clique on there seem to have written off anyone at the club
Embleton will certainly be good enough for an average career in league one, as it stands. So we should be looking for 750k-1.5m as he has age on his side.

If he was destined to be a good championship player/very good league one we should be getting more... I don't think he's put enough performances in games to warrant anything over a million. He looks good but not exactly special. And Blackpool fans seem to want him back as backup if anything.

Hope he stays as I think he will come in, at the very least, handy this season

Johnson said they have money to spend on important areas, but I don’t care either way.

The important thing is we get the right players to get us out of this ****e league.

Is that where your moral compass is at?

We all know it's wrong, my daughter turned 16, 5 month before she left school. These girls could be at school for all we know. I don't want to turn a blind eye to a bloke putting on the Sunderland strip that has an interest in young girls. You might be okay with that, I'd imagine the vast majority of decent people, are not.

this league seems to work that way, players get a 'wage increase' by moving clubs and negotiating new contracts every season...those commanding fees are usually from higher leagues and it can be hard to persuade anyone with a good record and a good few years left to drop down.

that said, i am still holding onto the belief that we will see 'squad fillers' until nearer the end of the window when things really start to move, then hopefully, we will see a little bit of spending...but we wont be throwing silly money around just to get out of the league, the club has to be looking forwards as well.

Just read an article that suggested he was messaging two 15 year old school girls.

    No from me.

I'd sooner have Danny Graham back

    If I couldn't I wouldn't post on a debate forum tbh.

Differing views are great, relentlessly posting contrarily is just daft and slightly annoying.

Rather arrogant of them there, considering they were nearly out of business themselves under previous owners only 2 seasons ago. I guess they've forgotten that. They got up because we (a) dropped too many points last season under Parkinson before he was peddled and (b) most importantly we stumbled badly in the last few weeks. If either had not happened, we would have gone up, I doubt very much they would. And the reason Embleton hadn't played much for us is largely injuries not allowing him to force his way into contention, which is the reason he was loaned out to them in the first place.

In days gone by The subject of paedophelia sometimes came up in conversation in our group and I found that, generally speaking, the single lads were more likely to be ambivalent where the girl was near the age of consent, taking more into account her degree of maturity. The married lads, ( I say lads; we were all elderly in those days) especially those with daughters, quickly became enraged at this. I came to believe that a fathers protective instinct was the guiding emotion in this. I’m not saying that all single men are pa4dophiles, and that paedophiles are never married men. In fact I’m not sure why I’m making this post. Just an observation I suppose. But where feelings on the subject are so very strong, it would be a mistake to sign anyone who might cause so much dissent.

If I'd stayed I'd have had 90% on ignore. Great to get news. Have to say no excuse on this forum as no one appears to get any crap and rightly so.

On a serious note..I don't believe personally Griffiths will sign..he's on the list but I don't believe he's at the top of it.

The lad from Preston would be a good signing big investment in the package though.

Also, I believe Embleton will leave if the offer is right..but big difference in valuation at the moment.

Hopefully, another signing later this week. Fingers crossed.

This surely wont happen. I hope the club come out and say it is not true re Griffiths.

On a footballing note I wouldnt be convinced by him either. I am not convinced he would fit with the high press high intensity we want to play. Lad can finish and play a bit but I dont have him in the category of player we want. Plenty of better options than him in a footballing capacity in my opinion.

Gallacher was on loan at Toronto and quite highly rated apparently.

Mate of mine knows Jenkinson well. I used to get a fair bit or arsenal signed gear for charity stuff I was involved in from him. Think he has struggled at Forest last couple of years. Was well thought of at Arsenal but never happened for him.
