If it's the fee that was agreed previous then yes

No business owner would pay it back until it was in their interest to do so, whether the surname is Allam or otherwise.

Totally agree with that but I would add
Providing its helping and not hindering
it’s fine but if it does hinder you have
to look at the bigger picture….

Without trawling through past posts, and this may already have been discussed, but is the fact that no incomings are happening at the moment, due to the squad having to be reduced to allow new additions? A 23 senior playing squad is allowed under this embargo, I read somewhere that Berry's departure was because of this, and that the playing staff had to be cut. Or am I barking up the wrong tree?

That appears to be the case.
Relates to the points some of us are making. It's one thing taking a interest free loan / free grant; that's sort of understandable. But not when it hampers & constrains. If the club were on it's knees, then fair enough, but I don't think that's the case at all. Best run club, envy of, sustainable, top 6 etc etc.
Strikes me as pure greed and another **** you. As said, TWT, but I'm near certain it is having and will have quite detrimental impact on McCann and efforts to progress.

Mid-table mediocrity will do for me.

Ah but that's not what seems to have happened over the last how many years?

We're either fighting for promotion or fighting relegation.

At least no one can call us a boring club

Ehab mentioned when talking about budgets that if we over achieve we could be looking at playoffs. That currently looks like a pipe dream, i think your right avoiding relegation is overachieving

Mid-table mediocrity? Don't let Ehab hear you. That's not what he's got his sights on from only the other day!
Mid-table wage budget (oh no, not again! but it was utter BS) and hoping to punch once again a few places above our weight to bring possible play off place.
You know, a few days back when he was giving fans an update on aims, activity, strategy, etc etc, when he inadvertently forgot to mention about the grant / loan he'd taken out and how it has been & would constrain transfer activities. What a silly billy forgetting that! Or maybe he just didn't think it was of interest for us mugs to know? And so it goes on.
I wonder if he wonders why he's despised, or is it that he's that stupid, or that he simply couldn't give a f.f. ? I suspect it's the latter of those 3.

Watch the Scott situation. See if we get a fee or not. I suspect that will determine whether the embargo stays or not and ultimately determine the budget.

There's no chance we'll be selling Scott. He's only 20, clearly has talent and we'd get peanuts for him from Scottish clubs. He'll be going on loan.

This 23 man squad thing is garbage, City's statement already confirmed it's 25 established players (which is what we had last season too). But it suits people's anti-Allam's agenda so it keeps getting mentioned.

Hey, Allam chose to be anti-Kempton, so what did you expect I'd do?

Did Ehab say it was 25? 100% must be true then. :emoticon-0104-surpr
Why the surprise releases? Why a prolonged period of no incoming activity? I'd sensibly guess it's because we have to ship out first (and the constraints on fees etc). I can see Ehab trying to sell Scott (a loan is little use given the constraints) but I can't see us getting much of a fee back if any at all.
p.s. too much time on here. Blame the heat where I am. Too hot.

It's pretty clear it ain't true from our business as well. If we could only have 23, Flores, Chadwick, Jones and Salam wouldn't have gone out on loan. They'd all be needed. And Scott certainly wouldn't be following them out the door either.

I don't think Berry is a 'surprise release'. He's had a long term injury and during that time Salam and Chadwick have made very good progress. Throw in that he's the same age as KLP and only a few months younger than Scott yet he's not near the first team. Then Snelgrove, Jarvis and Sani all seem very highly rated too, so how many young forwards can we have?

Dogs are right girls in this weather aren't they?

    Oooh, it's too hot.

Oooh, I don't have any sweat glands.

Oooh, all I can do to regulate my temperature is to stick my tongue out and pant pathetically.

Then pretend to collapse on a cooling patch of grass.

    And refuse to move.

    ****s.
