Why? They were able to sign for another team and they decided to sign new contracts. You always seem to look for negatives in everything to do with the club. Do you think that just because McGeady and O'Nien re-signed he won't sign any other players? How about he doesn't have to worry about replacing them in the team but if another player comes up in one of those positions who may strengthen the team then they might actually try to sign them
Both players have show they have faith in the manager/owner/club, are proven to be effective and won't need time to settle in .... ... other player, like Jones who was supposed to be real quality, showed they didn't have the right attitude and would never have made a consistent contribution. It may look good, if we're going out signing names, but we're wise to avoid the likes of Maddison who's proved to be a total waster.
I think with this approach, no matter what the stats say, the player's character will still be given the once over. On the signings that's come into the club (not including McGeady and O'Nien) it looks that we're looking at players who can play a level above rather than just being experienced in league 1 - it may take time and effort to convince players to make a step down but if it comes off, the team should be stronger than the one from last season and I'm including some of the u23's that's been added to the squad in that
Really well I thought. Good passing technique, which I suppose you would expect coming from Man City but he took on all comers defending and stood his ground against older and more experienced pros and bossed them at times. He's gonna be one seriously good player!
Great stuff. I know a couple of City fans and they say he's a seriously good prospect, one of their best young players. League 1 should be a piece of pish for him
not sure if hearts thought they would 'attack' him but any thoughts of him being an easy target were kicked into touch in the first few minutes, stood his ground and 'bounced' a couple, timed his tackles well...then they worked out flanno was playing (he did improve 2nd half)

This is a bit delayed but iirc Patterson never had a proper shot to save and they hit the post, that in my book doesn't equate to getting beat 2-0 and us missing several chances. Why can't local media just hold their hands up if their team has lost to a better side.
