I'd say it depends on what's being said on here. If posters are saying someone is being talked about on a website or in the media that's one thing ... ... if someone, on here, makes a direct accusation against an individual that's different. The internet has given gossip a megaphone and rumours spread like wildfire.
Likewise I am sure a jury won’t be swayed by posts here or on RTG but I take your wider point. Solicitors are leeches and will only threaten in the hope they can take a juicy cut of the proceeds. They will go where the money is. I am not aware of any message board or any message board posters who have ever been sued in this way but that doesn’t mean it hasn’t happened. The problem is the nature of the allegations and the high profile of the case. There will always be rumour and chit chat because of the level of public interest. The tabloids are to blame as they bring it into the public domain to start with. Maybe blocks on reporting should be in place until a time when it doesn’t do any harm to report the facts.
Spot on.I worked in the courts for years and papers ****ed up loads of trials for obviously guilty parties and equally those who were innocent. delayed verdicts, new jurors and all sorts. This was before the days of social media too.

As a rule I loathe puns. I find them inane and overused. Then some bastard comes along with one that makes me not only reconsider the value of puns, but also whether I should be dedicated more of my life to come up with these shining examples of simple genius. Well done Sir, I ****ing salute you. The stars aligned on that one.
Every club has one but it being Liverpool they have a hell of a lot more than one. Tell the schools have broken up for the summer.
