This has absolutely nothing to do with COVID passports and breaches the no politics rule.

Bit late to the party but am annoyed at the no drinks in reusable containers thing. Last year I had a New Year's resolution to go a whole year without buying a plastic bottle (every little helps etc), and bought a couple of insulated steel drinking bottles. Great stuff - cold drink in summer, hot in winter.

Asking people to either bring in a brand new plastic bottle or to buy a drink in a plastic bottle/glass on the concourse is, imho, all about increasing takings at the bar and nothing to do with COVID or safety. And certainly not environmentally friendly. Wazzocks.

Many popular websites were unavailable today in a global outage, a DNS error message came up instead. Airbnb, UPS, British Airways and HSBC* bank were affected.

    * The notes in my wallet were unaffected.

I’m not quite that impressive in terms of never buying single use plastic, but I certainly try to avoid doing so and can’t remember last time I did.
Shame for elderly folk (like Chazz) who want to take warm soup etc too

I’ve lost a whole year ffs because I started it jan 2019. I mostly manage to avoid buying drinks in bottles now, biggest fail was my last foreign holiday and airports. Packed the steel bottle in the suitcase and used it when there but I admit I refilled it from refrigerated bottled water because I didn’t trust the stuff from the tap not to upset my guts. But then my air travel was probably more anti environmental than the plastic bottle issue.

back to the kcom sorry mkm. We sit/sat? next to a nice couple who were refugees from Upper West and they got out the flask and butties every half time. I know flaskers are a source of amusement on here, but if the flaskers and steel bottlers joined the queue for drinks with the rest of you, then the concourses would be so busy you’d need to be ducking out at 30 minutes to be guaranteed a pint and a pee before the second half. So we should be thanked, not mocked really. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

    I completely agree.
Anything to keep non boozers out of the queues gets my vote

In all seriousness though on cold winter evening games I imagine a warm flask of soup or similar is important for older fans

I don’t get why flasks are such a source of amusement to be fair, If people drive they cannot drink alcohol and why pay 3 quid for a small cup when you have your own supply for free, just common sense really

We always take a flask, it is much more convenient. Lots of people around us do the same, now if we are all to be on the concourse at half time it will be past kick off time before we get back to our seats. Every year it seems there is something else to piss people off.

As ever, I'm a trend setter. I've not had much cash for years. Mainly because it goes straight to pub landlords as soon as I get it.
