    The trouble with this kind of thing is that it's instantly taken as gospel by papers who want it to be true and no verification seems to be done.

    Same with the WhatsApp messages from a few months back. Never confirmed as genuine.

    I got “pinged” on Saturday morning and wish I’d never installed the bloody app. I’ve done two lateral flows which were negative and have no symptoms but work have told me not to go in for the week, they’ve also said that as I’m agency I won’t get paid. ****ing ****ers.

    My self-isolation/quarantine ends at 23:59 this evening. So from tomorrow I can re-join everyday life. Now, the interesting thing is once I'm out of lockdown I'm not to have another test for 90 days in case of showing 'false positive' results (this information is on the NHS website and was confirmed to me when speaking to one of the 'Test and Trace' chappies on the phone. So in effect I can be wandering the streets with a new variant, or just the remnants of the Delta strain and that's it, I'm out there. IMO, THIS is how they've managed to introduce 'herd immunity' to the population, via the back door "Had it?, crack on fella......."

    Herd immunity while trying to keep deaths down was always the plan, and always is the plan with something as easily transmissible regardless of what rosette the person in charge is wearing, it just became politically toxic to say so.
