Maybe, but I'd hold off with the judgemental scorn if I were you. After all, West Ham did ok under Moyes after he failed dismally here at Sunderland.
Wouldn't have either of them back in a month of Sundays even if Moyes wins the prem with West Ham. He is an utter cock.
Personally think that’s a rash signing from Wrexham. Mullins only had one good season in his career and it’s unlikely the money paid for him will be worth it. Doesn’t scream sensible or sustainable from them.
That’s being kind too. Can’t stand the bloke, absolute joke he was here. 5 years to the day since he was appointed Canny day down Rotherham that was, N’Zogbia with the winner
I wouldn't want him back either, but I was just pointing out that failure here doesn't prevent any manager (or player) going on to succeed elsewhere. Of all football fans we should have this engrained into our souls!
Exactly, it matters not about L2 golden boot winners signing, it's all about fitting into a plan and style of play.
I think we're all just getting a bit jittery because there's no 'hollywood' type signings going on, but I'm not sure that's how things will pan out, we're looking for promising players who could come in and do a job for us, whilst showing the signs of maybe being able to step up a level if we can get promoted, for me this is what our 'data led approach' is all about, I know it's not going to satisfy the shouty heads, but it's how we need to build our squad going forward, and that's why IMO, we haven't dived into the market in a big way yet. It's a bit of a slow, steady poker game, but if we have our targets in place, and we're playing the long game, we just need to hold our nerve on deals, but be ready to pounce when we get the nod, this is why it'll go to the line, as long as there's a plan in place we'll get the players we need, the main thing is patience ( an alien concept to SAFC fans) and having the support of a good strong club infrastructure, I could be wrong but I'm sure this is why KLD made all the club appointments first, leaders behind the scenes who will give the support and confidence to the footballing staff to get things right. It's a marathon, not a sprint.
If he was a lone goalscoring option then I would tend to agree, but Wrexham have signed a number of goalscorers and attacking midfield players to support this effort. As well as this, Wrexham season ticket purchases open on Monday so this signing will definitely increase sales. If it contributes to a promotion then the money spent on this free agent's 3 yr contract will also be a significant boost toward sustainability.
For SAFC yes. Could be a donkey elsewhere though. He wasn't keeper of the for Coventry iirc. It's horses for courses mate, I haven't heard of 99% of the players we are linked with, I'm just going with the flow and trusting the new regime.
You think that other clubs don't keep that in mind when it comes to making their signings? I know in their search for a manager that Wrexham were looking at an attacking style of play and were questioning potential managers about this during the interview process. That being so I doubt that Wrexham are just putting together a jumble of players and hoping they will achieve promotion.
And they went for Parky? WTF has he told them. Deadpool has a lot to answer for! Does he know it's back to 3 subs that he doesn't have to use? Has anyone told him yet?
I know, it is quite a head scratcher - but Parky must be able to assemble attacking teams because he has led two separate clubs to promotions against LJ's none (and LJ has overseen some bloody dire performances at Sunderland - probably these outnumber the good performances, but I wasn't counting). Incidentally both Parkysaur and LJ share one feat - they have both beaten sides managed by Jose Mourinho in a cup game.
