My guess is the council don’t want thousands of Sunderland fans rocking up in the area on the drink and potentially spreading the virus. If so, totally unreasonable and naive with the season starting soon anyway. We need to move past this nonsense of behind closed doors, fans are being treated with disdain by people not involved with football. This wasn’t the clubs, this was the local councils and people within them.

I would be inclined to agree however why wait until this late in the day to let everyone know? Bit of a tw*ts trick imo if correct.

Yeah it’s **** mate. Obviously could be wrong but I can’t think it would be for another reason. Reeks of a bunch of local councillors ****ting themselves at the bars being full of Sunderland fans and cases going up or whatever. Leaving it this late it’s shocking.

Tory councils. What do you expect ?

If it was cricket it wouldn't be cancelled.

Shocking news ! but there is a stream free for those who purchased a pass well i want to now so do i need to pay ?, nice gesture by the club. Why don't we have a home friendly though, say Celtic or Rangers that would have been good.

In the US, not long ago, they used a man's smart pacemaker to place where he was when he house set on fire and how active he was to determine he was setting multiple fires around his house...moral of the story, have a heart attack

It's either to keep us in check and remind us they still have us by the balls or that covid will for sure wipe out 90% of the frail and fragile football fans making the journey down south.
